Hey! Hey guys! Remember how certain posters were saying all summer how average Ryan Miller is? I just want to say the 11 games he has played thus far this season... totally proven that theory to be ######.

You don't ignore those posts? I do. Life is just easier that way.

was only able to watch the third But it sounds like that is a good thing. well that was the only game out of the next 9 that I thought they might have a chance of winning - not that it really matters anyway

This Girgensons character is a real keeper. He was the only forward to consistently create offensive zone time. Me likey.

That Ristolainen guy is alright as well.

Hey, if the only reason is to watch young guys grow (and we all know that's the only reason), this was a pretty good game.

I for one never said Miller was average, just good to very good at times and rarely elite. I, also, for the record, predicted exactly this kind of start for him. It's common sense. Clearly playing in the Olympics is what lights his fire.

Serious question here. Do you think the league is ok with this? At some point you would think competitive balance has to be a factor. If we are this bad now what happens when Miller, Ott, Moulson and whoever else they decide to unload is gone.

You would think they would have some sort of league mandated obligation to put at least a somewhat respectable product on the ice. Its not fair to the fans, the other teams fans, and the league in general that we are treating this as a developmental league.

What can the NHL do? Force Terry Pegula to hire a competent GM?

3 pages on a Game Day thread. This has to be an all-time low.

I know they can't do anything about it but they can't be happy. Especially knowing that it most likely will get much worse before it gets better. It should be concerning to them.

A professional sports team should be obligated to do everything in their power to field the most competitive team possible. We are openly saying we are not going to do that. For what - better draft position. It's not right.

I don't think the NHL can differentiate between incompetence and intent. The NHL can easily look at the Sabres and how Regier has run the organization and determine this season was inevitable.
