Help me out. Around 10 years ago. Who was the player we signed to a contract but the paperwork was faxed too late to the NHL office so he went back into the draft pool? Anyone remember this?

It all had a happy ending however, the entire affair inspired the organization to purchase a new fax machine.

Insiders have reported the new fax machine was very nice.

Did anyone see that the Montreal Canadians drafted Doug Wickenheiser over Denis Savard? I haven't seen it mentioned in another thread.
