It is. Top 10 protected. But it doesn't matter because they likely won't be there. If it's top 10 this year then we get a first rounder in next year's strong draft anyways. For questions like this, post them in the threads talking about the trade already. I learned that pretty quickly.

This has been discussed in other threads, but yes. The Islanders can defer the pick to next year if they finish with a Top 10 pick this year.
