hockeyhound Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Let's Go Buffalo! Great Effort; that's what we want.
Randall Flagg Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Crowd showing them that they'll still support a rebuild as long as they play hard like that every night.
... Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Alls I knows is that there's a new episode of Ancient Aliens on at 10.
CallawaySabres Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Entertaining game, now keep trading or cutting
Iron Crotch Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Only 6:13 of ice time for Stafford. Worst on the team. Very interesting...
Nitro60 Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 So Darcy is now trying to sell off assets. What can he get for Stafford and Ennis? A couple of late round drat picks? Miller is the player of value I'd trade. Foglino is valuable but he is a keeper. Moulson is a rental. Trade him at the deadline for 1 or 2 prospects. Regier has to shed all the old guard and then step aside for someone else. This rebuild is going to take more than 2 or 3 years.
hockeyhound Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 The rookies looked like rookies tonight; not in a bad way. I don't think I would want to see Z and Risto as a pairing; however, wow, they can bring it. The veterans played like veterans for the most part; I really noticed Tallinders skating tonight.
... Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Ennis had one of his best games in a while. He played the wing, where he's supposed to be, with another winger who puts in the effort to keep up with him. I'd like to see where that line goes...maybe Hodgson will learn to play better with two higher-effort wingers.
Stoner Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Alls I knows is that there's a new episode of Ancient Aliens on at 10. They fly out of Lake Erie, right, after their Cheerios raids?
26CornerBlitz Posted October 29, 2013 Author Report Posted October 29, 2013 A loss, but at least it was entertaining. Most of these home games have been dreadful.

hockeyhound Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Ryan appears to be grieving; hang in there. If the Sabres play like they did tonight, and they keep adding to it, I would be all right with the rebuild. There getting better. Till next time; Let's Go Buffalo!
Iron Crotch Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Ryan appears to be grieving; hang in there. From @FriedgeHNIC: "Darcy Regier said tonight there are no offers for Miller right now."
SwampD Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 A loss, but at least it was entertaining. Most of these home games have been dreadful. I can't wait until we are celebrating something other than a "Participation Award".
mudberry Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 What cha gonna do? What cha gonna do when they come for you. I hear that song in my head every time I see or hear his name. Would have been a perfect goal song if he scored more for us.
ubkev Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 I hear that song in my head every time I see or hear his name. Would have been a perfect goal song if he scored more for us. He scored like 7 goals in his first week with us then I think he gave his sweater to Drew Stafford until he got paired up with Tavares on the island.
G-Daddy Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Only 6:13 of ice time for Stafford. Worst on the team. Very interesting... Deservedly so.
MattPie Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 The curse of my jerseys. had one of each player thats left recently. I have no current players jersey left. Just might buy me a Stafford. There's a women's medium on ebay.... I'm probably making ###### up, but perhaps there is a little more positivity in the room without malcontent Vanek and with all-around nice guy Moulson? Yeah, it couldn't be they're fired about something. I mean, it can't be the Stars, right?
qwksndmonster Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Good game. Very fun to watch. The good: -Foligno. He's been a monster all season. -The captain. Back into his groove. -Moulson. Welcome back to WNY. -Grigorenko. Won some battles and made some nice heads up plays. -Rasmus Ristolainen. My brother is right, he wants to hurt people. The bad: -Stafford. Second time someone's scored with Stafford in between them and the puck in the crease. Why oh why is he on Grigorenko's line. -Myers. Ughhh. -The refs. Some weak weak ticky tack ###### was being called, and not both ways. Really weird day. Watching Lindy behind the visitors bench and watching the Sabres with a new #26.
Jsixspd Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 haha, Lindy Ruff and the Stars punked the Sabres in their own crib. Yeah, cause obviously the coach was the problem, not the GM, eh, Terry?

dudacek Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Game thoughts Second game in a row where it didn't look like we were Poland to the opponent's CCCP. Nice effort. Moulson just looks like he knows how to score goals. God, I missed that Tyler Ennis. He made plays instead of chasing his tail. Hope he sticks around for a while. The Hodgson line scared me going into the game from a defensive perspective, but they had some nice chemistry. One of Ehrhoff's best games. He was trying to make plays instead of just playing it safe. Zad was quiet, but Risto played very well. Didn't miss Stafford at all. That had to have been our best possession game of the year. Easily. First three lines all had zone time. Myers' brain cramp on Seguin goal, Stafford and Grigs watching a guy walk out of the corner, and Ott's ridiculous four minutes were really the only glaring errors of the first. Of course, they gave Dallas a lead they didn't really deserve. Entertaining to watch because we had some good battle. That and growth of the youngsters are really all I'm asking for.
Robviously Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 It was an entertaining game, I liked what the youngsters did, and we got closer to a top pick. So pretty good overall.
calti Posted October 29, 2013 Report Posted October 29, 2013 Boy--we are in Bills land----this once proud franchise--applauding good but losing efforts. Its eerie.
