inkman Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 So my 1 year anniversary is tomorrow. I've done a little research for gift ideas but I didn't really like anything I saw or just didn't think the ideas were that good. There is some traditions about getting something paper or a clock but I can't really think of anything involving those items that I like. Let me also preface this by stating that we do have dinner planned and we are also stopping in at the estsblishment where we got married. Not sure if the romantic get away really applies as we are already at a tropical location for the next week.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 I'm thinking a nice casserole dish and a vacuum.
inkman Posted October 26, 2013 Author Report Posted October 26, 2013 I'm thinking a nice casserole dish and a vacuum. If I want someone other than Rosie to touch it for the next week, I'd better come up with something different.
rakish Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 My girlfriend says "Paper tickets to an event" My answer, a collection of Ben Franklin portraits
billsrcursed Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 I've always ditched traditions and just got her something she really wanted but wouldn't buy for herself. We're still together, so it couldn't have been THAT bad...

MILFHUNTER#518 Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 Get her a charm bracelet with the first charm being something significant to the both of you. Each year afterward, add another charm... She will appreciate it, and it will be a low cost investment.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 You gotta get all sentimental and sh!t...broads dig that stuff. Here is the gameplan. Think of something you share or both like to do. The key then is to link it to a 3rd party that is close to her. Preferably someone or something that she doesn't have anymore. Think...Nanna, or a pet. How did you meet? Was anyone instrumental in bringing you together? Tie that in somehow. Did you do anything goofy when you first met? An inside joke between you two when she still found you charming instead of disgusting? There's a road to take...turn it around and make amends for it or glitz it up. Any combination of this and it's BJ city.....
sicknfla Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 I wouldn't knock yourself out. I just asked my wife of 18 years what I did for our first anniversary. told me she had no clue but most likely nothing. that might explain that bj issue I have.....
nfreeman Posted October 26, 2013 Report Posted October 26, 2013 Gift certificate to a fancy local spa -- enough to cover massage and facial. It's foolproof.
