Phil Housley is a guy that intrigues me, despite his lack of true NHL experience. He's a guy that would love to get Jake McCabe on another one of his teams. And, eventually, JT Compher.

Your actual response to this thread displeases Nikita.

Humor troubles your processor?

Nope. Just wonder if anybody on here actually has ANY ideas on who would replace the people who they're calling to be fired. Which is apparently a no.

If you let me take 12 posters here with me....I promise to have a better GM/Scouting/Marketing/Communications/Accounting/Analytics/and possibly Coaching department that have every right to come up with better than a 1-9-1 record to this point.

There are 200 names you can give me that I'd rather have as GM. I'm not convinced Rolston is a disaster....his GM and President are pounding everyone in the public and media that this is the plan. Who the hell is going to play for him other than kids who don't know any better or AHL players fighting for a paycheck?

Oh...I forgot legal. Sometime you gotta retain talent...

Kind of my point why I started the thread. Also why I didn't put down who I think because I honestly don't know. Other than Loviolette not sure what HC is out there. I know we have discussed the Pittsburgh connection but other than that I am not sure about other GM candidates.

I will say I do find the current picks pretty damn funny. I tried posting Fred and Barney but cant seem to do from my phone.

I'll be one of the twelve. Let's take over this franchise.

Since Brian Burke isn't available, then I'd love to get a guy who has been an assistant for a while and wants to make the next step.

In my opinion, this roster is a GMs dream but a coach's nightmare. It'll be easier to find a guy wanting to manage a team that's LOADED with young assets for trades/roster construction, a ton of cap space that a rich owner WILL use and a (likely) top 3 pick.

Guys that I like as potential head coaches for us: Housley, Tony Granato, Mark Messier (kind of as a "why the ###### not" idea), Mike Johnston (could be the next junior hockey coach, like Roy, to make the jump). Those are names I like.

As far as general managers, I don't mind the idea of Fitzgerald (considered a cap genius) or Botterill. Not as crazy about Dudley as most are. Clause Loiselle is a name I'm interested in, Joe Will (SJ assistant GM) and Tampa's Julien BriseBois are all names I like.
