hockeyhound Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 timestamp='[/color]1382583333' post='517167']Suspended players count against the roster. Thanks; consequently, it won't make things any easier.
Iron Crotch Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 Milbury is the world's biggest hypocrite... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BS2Eq30f7xI
deluca67 Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 I refuse to listen to NBCSN broadcast or their in studio goons. Milbury was a dirty thug. Pierre always is snarky about the Sabres. Why aggravate yourself? I really enjoy listening to RJ call hockey games. Use the MUTE button guys and save your sanity. BTW Sabres got Scott because Lucic ran over MIller last year and no one on the team would deal with him. Scott will be sitting for a few games. Glad the Sabres will not be on NBC until January. I will guess NBC is happier.
plenzmd1 Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 It wasn't a late hit, it wasn't an elbow, he didn't leave his feet, if anything, he's guilty of being too tall. NBC's trying to say he was looking for trouble all game, I don't remember Scott trying to mix it up during the game, he had a few hits, but nothing major. To call something like that garbage and then giving Kessel media hugs for swinging is stick in back to back games is what's garbage. I wouldn't be surprised if Rolston's gonna get a suspension. This is my thought exactly. I am not a Sabres apologist, I am looking for reasons to fire Darcy and RR. But I just do not see him hitting his head..maybe I am wrong. Scott's elbow never comes up..I swear to Christ he hits Erickson in the chest and his head whips around from the force...I guess I am missing it. Someone else mention Pierre not having the stones to ask Lucic how it compares to the Miller hit, and I agree. Just a questio hat needed to be asked. If the hit was dirty and I am missing it, still a question that needed to be asked.
JJFIVEOH Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 If the NHL really wants to punish John Scott and the Sabres they shouldn't suspend Scott. Force the Sabres to play Scott 15 to18 minutes a game for the rest of the season. I'm sure after a few games Scott will be too embarrassed to show up to the rink. Why would it, doesn't seem to bother Stafford.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 24, 2013 Author Report Posted October 24, 2013 Z is the bright spot in all of this; good job Z. Excellent play for his second NHL game. He will demand to be sent to the OHL Knights after this debacle.
deluca67 Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 Milbury is the world's biggest hypocrite... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BS2Eq30f7xI How does going after Samuelsson, who tried to take Cam Neely's knee out, make Mike Milbury a hypocrite? Why would it, doesn't seem to bother Stafford. Stafford  The best thing right now would be to forget about the cap hit or the money and just waive Stafford.
SarasotaSabre Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 So is Hodgson, guy wouldn't put a body on a flee for feer of getting hurt. At least big Z gets on the board. ''Flee''?.... '' feer''?.... I hope you are joking (((
bunomatic Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 There's a reason these guys are called colour men. They hire them not necessarily because of their noble character or their I.Q. but because they bring a different perspective to the telecast. Milbury certainly does that but he's a tool. Him and Roenick can go $uck it as far as I'm concerned. At least we didn't have to listen to J. Roenick tonight.
Jsixspd Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 Stafford  The best thing right now would be to forget about the cap hit or the money and just waive Stafford. That's what I said in May. He's wasted space on the roster - Regier should have traded him THEN when his value was higher. Every game he plays like this his value decreases. Who cares if the Sabres "lose" on the trade or not? You can't expect wins with a guy like Stafford in the lineup, especially getting 20 minutes of ice time every game. He's just dead wood.
SwampD Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 How does going after Samuelsson, who tried to take Cam Neely's knee out, make Mike Milbury a hypocrite? 4 guys. 7 goals. 235 pim. While he may be right about Scott, he's not the one to say it.
Iron Crotch Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 How does going after Samuelsson, who tried to take Cam Neely's knee out, make Mike Milbury a hypocrite? He went on and on about Scott's lack of hockey skills. Said he was only on the ice for one reason. Yet he himself fielded a lineup of goons, with the same lack of hockey skills that he now criticizes. Everyone knows Milbury roots for the Bruins. There isn't even a semblance of objectivity to his rants.
MILFHUNTER#518 Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 Milbury is the world's biggest hypocrite... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BS2Eq30f7xI Thank you, that made my night. I really hope some Sabres alumni call this @$$hole out in the media tomorrow. .. There's a reason these guys are called colour men. Him and Roenick can go $uck it as far as I'm concerned. At least we didn't have to listen to J. Roenick tonight. At least Roenick was a good player...
dudacek Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 This is the worst sustained stretch of Buffalo Sabres hockey since Scotty Bowman got fired. Miller, Vanek, Rolston or Regier — something has to give, and soon.
CallawaySabres Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 I left with a mass exodus at 10 minutes to go in the game. even when Buffalo got a goal to make it 2 to 1, I showed zero emotion knowing that the goal was going to be meaningless in the end. it's official, i lost complete and total interest in this team
JJFIVEOH Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 Here's a compilation of Tweets from Matthew Barnaby. I'm not going to cop his tweets, I just copied it all into one. 'Ron Rolston is doing a great job of developing youth... Unfortunately it is thr other teams!!!!#Sabres were so much better when in bankrupcy... I really don't understand how Darcy still has s job. When u continue to get outshot 2-1 u will lose. This has been going on way too long!!!Plain and simple there are better gms and coaches out there. Fact. Team plays with no passion. Zero. Gives up way to many shots and Out numbered attacks. Team will miss playoffs 8-12 yrs. not good enough to keep ur job. Fact. Best thing I did was not renew my ticketsSaw this coming and was sick of watching a bad product. Coaching what u have. He isn't doing that. I am not paid by the #Sabres andWon't pull company BS. It is really ugly and going to get worse. Saw it last year early....just bc people r in BIG positions do not make Them smart hockey people!! Trust me...John Scott can't play hockey.. Kaleta reckless... Myers should have had bridge contract... Ehrhoff and Leino overpaid... Hodgson 2nd lineCenter not 1. Stafford non existent. Not going back to earlier yrs where Drury and Briere were let go when could have signed for lessIm not a Sabres hater but more of a proud alumni that thinks fans deserve better. Pegula is a great guy but is a fan. Plain and simple.I think I used up my 140 characters.... So on that note I will see at the next game... On twitter... Same mediocrity.'
hockeyhound Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 I didn't think Scott played a bad game; he had 5 hits, some good offensive plays, and the last hit looked like he kept his elbows down and went through his check. The guy is tall. It always looks worse on the replay; in real time it is much faster, Eriksson released the puck and a second and a half later Scott hits him. I didn't look late to me. I don't see how Scott gets suspended for that hit; it seems like a lot of people are assuming that there was an intent to injure, and that the head was the principle point of contact. How do we know Scott's intentions, are they mind readers? Scott played hard all game, and he was making offensive contributions that led to turnovers and chances. Eriksson was making a play at our blue line and it appeared that Scott was hoping to get a turn over. They're pissed because their guy was hit by a train; Lucic vs Miller, no suspension.
neverenough Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 I think Terry Pegula is losing a lot of respect around the league.

Iron Crotch Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 I think Terry Pegula is losing a lot of respect around the league. Honestly, I've lost respect for Terry Pegula as a hockey owner. In my 40 years of following this team I can't remember a lower point in the franchise's history. I miss Tom Golisano at this point.
darksabre Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 Watched the quick highlights on game center. I liked seeing Zadorov score. But the guy needs to try and put a stick on someone on the first and fourth goal. He wasn't really in a position to help on number four but he could have been. Same old wussy stuff from Drew Stafford. Miller letting in a squeaker kinda sucked. Weber did all he could on the 2 on 1 goal. Tallinder wasn't on the ice in time to help. I could get on some high horse about the John Scott hit but I don't feel like it. I'll stop cheering for injured Bruins players when I think we're even. The forward ranks need a shakeup real bad. Real real bad.
CallawaySabres Posted October 24, 2013 Report Posted October 24, 2013 The veterans on this team suck period they suck
