Claude_Verret
I like Reinhart best. Smart, smooth passer who takes it to the next level when the pressure's on. That said, I'd have no problem with Bennett, who's hard working and may have a higher ceiling. We can't lose, so nothing to worry about. Yep, the tough work has already been done with the successful tank.
shrader
Hey, you didn't call me "homer" ... what gives? It was pretty heavily implied.
Bob Malooga
Too small I never understand this...he is the same height as Bennett, and 15 pounds lighter. People always talk about this or that player being "too small," but Sidney Crosby is only 5-11 and 200 lbs. That's not "big."
Crusader1969
HOCKEY WRITERS MOCK DRAFT OUT TODAY: #1-10 2014 Mock Draft Selections 1. Buffalo Sabres – C Sam Reinhart Tim Murray and the scouting staff take the most well-rounded forward in the draft. Despite Sam Bennett being at the top of the charts, Reinhart has been the guy talked about all year Sam Reinhart (photo whl.ca) and gives the Sabres a tangible forward to compliment second-line center Cody Hodgson. Aaron Ekblad is going to be a great defenseman but Reinhart is a better fit based on the organizations depth chart and the fact the Sabres are the lowest scoring team in the league with 150 goals or 1.92 GPG. Long term, Reinhart and Hodgson make a tangible 1-2 punch at center for the Sabres. http://thehockeywrit...-april-edition/ Edited April 9, 2014 by Crusader1969

Hoss
The Pens would have more than one cup if Crosby wasn't small and made of glass. Their lack of multiple cups has much more to do with bad coaching and playoff goaltending than Crosby's size and durability.
LastPommerFan
this will be the 5th time he's played more than 80% of the games and avoided serious injury. It's his 9th season. 26CornerBlitz
Prospector Files: Like father, like son for Reinharts Former NHL defenseman Paul Reinhart has a pretty good idea what it takes to reach the next level. He spent 11 seasons in the League with the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks and is the father of three successful hockey-playing sons: Max, Griffin and Sam. Max was a third-round pick (No. 64) of the Flames in 2010 and Griffin was selected No. 4 by the New York Islanders in 2012. Sam's turn will come at the 2014 NHL Draft at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
HopefulFuture
I'd like Bennett, I just learned he played on Connor McDavids wing in midget league :-)
LGR4GM
Eberle, Hall, Nugent-Hopkins, Gagner, Yakupov - skill guys, who aren't heavy. I think Reinhart may be similar to these guys in terms of style but I would argue Bennett is not. Just because a 17yr old is 6' 180lbs we shouldn't think of him as small. 1 or 2 summers of pro workouts could easily see him hit 200lbs which is probably the average for an NHL player. Edmonton has a hard working grit problem, not a size problem.
