The Sabres cure for their bad starts should be to use their warm-up time before the game as a full out ruff and tumble scrimmage. Maybe have them disparage each other's mothers and tell them what they did to the other's little sister the night before. Get each other in a foul mood.

The BFLO media is pisspoor. If I were Rolston I would have went all Torts on them.

I loved Ron post game interview and I think that he is dying to say f you do all of the veterans who are not putting in the work

I was hoping he'd finally lose it. ;)

Oh for crying out loud, somebody buy Koziol a new purse.

Great news everybody: My son's car broke down, so instead of watching the game, I fixed his car!

I went out and had a nice Korean dinner instead of watching, it was rather nice... Listened to the 3rd on the drive back, this team is seriously flawed

Enjoy the kimchi?

Do you hear the people sing....

:clapping:

THAT'S.....why I hang in here......

That was a nice post game from Ronnie.

Now back it up by rewarding the people who skated with ice time.

And the ones who want out, get them out.

I'd like to think that the Sabres dominated Colorado in the 3rd, and there were positives to take from this game, but what I fear is that Colorado went into "prevent defense" mode and they ceased playing aggressively on offense.

Oh, and BTW - Sabres still do not have a regulation win. Unbelievable. How does this year's start compare to worst starts in team history?

Coach Rolston looked like he was going to punch a wall in his postgame.

Both Zadorov and Risto have impressed me this season thus far. Those two may actually become a good tandem based on Zadorov's aggressive nature and Risto's more calm demeanor would help the other.

I'm starting to wonder what would happen if Girgs were to be given the C. Would he be able to rally the youngsters?

The only "vet" dmen worth holding onto are Erhroff and maybe Weber.

Myers gives me a headache when he suddenly goes 07 Myers for a shift. I guess he couldn't let the 18 year old rookie out do his play.

Foligno looks very good thus far, as does Flynn

Larsson and Girgs are Energizer Bunnies

It's sad when Drew Stafford actually seems to be more invested than nearly all other vets on offense.

Hodgson seems to be in between a rock and a hard place. Does he work hard regardless and possibly make his linemates look lazy or attempt to play at Vanek's level, good or bad.

Grigs seemed to at least try at points tonight, Zadorov and Girgs need to set him straight.

I didn't watch Rolston's presser right after the game, but listened on the radio. I just watched it, though, and Kozial was way the f*ck off on his assessment of that presser.

Rolston just pinned the veterans to the wall..."we don't get enough [work] throughout the course of the game, so, it comes back to work...you know there's no magic answer to tell them you gotta do this or that; if you don't work it doesn't matter what you do..."

IF YOU DON'T WORK IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOU DO.

That is it. All of this time, the answer is right there, plain as day, simple, simple, simple.

Rolston is saying Vanek, Stafford, Ennis, Ott, Myers, Tallinder, Ehrhoff, and Weber simply aren't putting in the effort out there.

Here's the answer: start the game rolling the rookie lines for the first few minutes, at least. Then, play the rookies on the special teams. Take away as many minutes as possible from the vets and give them to the rookies.

Sounds like either he's already lost half the room ( the vets ) or he simply hasn't got their respect in which case he's a lame duck 10 games into the season. Not a good position for a rookie coach to be. Perhaps he's just in way over his head and isn't capable of running an N.H.L. team ? Based on his record its not out of the question that he may be in over his head. Seems like he's floundering.

It was revealed to me last week when a couple of the kids said in post game interviews that the youngsters had their own meeting, away from the vets and told one another to stop being so respectful and to go out and shoot the puck and make plays rather than always defer to the older Sabres.

Comes from garth, but if that is true, they really need to get the older guys out there right away, no use of them at all.

I would love to see this verified. Between this and Rolston's presser, whoever falls under the status of "veteran" is severely condemned.
