Too much panic in our game. I get that their gripping the sticks too tight, but let's not confuse urgency with panic. In a rush to do every simple thing in the game.

The first line has to get into the offensive zone and do something, only 1 line has had any possession time in the Canucks zone. When they finally had a faceoff in the Canucks zone, even after a TV timeout, Rolston sends out the 4th line and they end up getting scored on.

 

Seriously. I think Rolston only looks like a nerd...because if he was actually a nerd, he'd never utilize an offensive zone start with the 4th line.

The Sabres may as well send Grigs back to the Q and call up Matt Ellis. Why waste him in the lineup with just over 2 minutes in the 1st?

I just don't like that other than Foligno, I don't think a single forward plays the body. I'm not talking about hits. I'm talking about in close, physical, getting hacked to sh!t, battles for the puck. All they do is reach in.

Here are the positives going into the third.

 

-The Sabres only have to play a teeny tiny bit better for this to be a game.

 

-One flukey goal is the difference.

 

-Even though there has been a lot of zone time for the 'Nucks, a lot of it has been to the outside. RJ said we were under siege, and all I thought was,"wow, that was a lot of boring play along the boards".

 

-They couldn't play worse than they did in the first 2 periods,… could they?

Canucks paly by play has a slightly different perspective saying its been the canucks most complete game this season across all 4 lines. Total dominance has been mentioned. But I like your take and I'll remain hopeful. GO SABRES !
