Hawerchuk Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 I just don't know what that plan is? How can anyone's plan involve being the worst team in hockey? For what?? Sam freaking Reinhart? Put your fans through this to maybe get some high draft picks? This is beyond embarrassing. I am not a season ticket holder but if I was I could not imagine how pissed I would be. Taking your money for this is robbery!! I agree. What the hell is the plan?? Suffering is not a plan. It's a total embarrassment. Half this team should be in the AHL. It's total crap. This team fails to grasp the most basic concept of fundamentals hockey 101. It's quite astonishing really and pathetic.
JJFIVEOH Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 The problem isn't in the plan, it's in the execution. Nobody is mentioning it, but the loss of Armia and Tropp has really hamstrung this team. Those guys instantly make this team more interesting and harder to play against. The biggest problem is relying on Ennis, Stafford, Porter and Flynn to provide anything other than a body. They just aren't good hockey players. At least two of them need to not be on this team. Replace them with heart and sole guys until the kids are ready. You won't win a lot more but you could get back to the hardest working team in hockey vibe and this community would support it for the most part. You want to bring in 'heart and sole' types of players, to at least make the Sabres a hard working team; then go on to say you want Flynn and Porter out. They're really the least of the concerns right now.

Robviously Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 OK, this is funny: John Vogl @BuffNewsVogl41m Don't worry Sabres fans. As @BNHarrington just pointed out there's only 73 games left to go. And this is actually upsetting: John Vogl @BuffNewsVogl4h The worst part about all these empty seats? Sabres have 16,000 season-ticket holders. Decided not worth coming. pic.twitter.com/I4xyrrjxuK

SarasotaSabre Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 He's too good for juniors. They should send him to the AHL. as mentioned ad nauseum here and on other sites, Grigs CANNOT go to the AHL ..... !!!!!!!
JJFIVEOH Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 Hey, at least they'll be able to clear out that Blue & Gold waiting list next year.
bunomatic Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 as mentioned ad nauseum here and on other sites, Grigs CANNOT go to the AHL ..... !!!!!!! Robviously he was joking
JJFIVEOH Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 as mentioned ad nauseum here and on other sites, Grigs CANNOT go to the AHL ..... !!!!!!! How come?
Robviously Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 as mentioned ad nauseum here and on other sites, Grigs CANNOT go to the AHL ..... !!!!!!! Um, I don't think so. I think if there was a rule about how Grigorenko was too young to play in the AHL, I would have heard something about it by now. Unless it was some sort of top secret rule that no one knows about.
Iron Crotch Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 I wonder if Ryan Miller walked on the logo when he returned to the locker room. ;)
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 Wow announced attendance was 18,374. It's like that Price Is Right game where you have to remove one of the numbers for the correct value to win the prize...... The problem isn't in the plan, it's in the execution. Nobody is mentioning it, but the loss of Armia and Tropp has really hamstrung this team. Tropp and Armia are just as much AHL players. In all honesty...over the course of THIS season, Flynn and Porter will probably give you more points and just as much effort. Tropp is damaged goods. Blown out knee...comes back early just like the Sabres did with Roy. Now multiple concussions. Armia.....what? If you put a gun to my head I would bet he has UNDER 50 career NHL goals in the end.
qwksndmonster Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 I'm very concerned about Rolston. Putting Grigorenko on the fourth line is just stupidity. Every single time that line was out there they were a disaster. John Scott and Cody McCormick need another guy who's going to grind it out and get loose pucks if they are going to be effective. Grigorenko needs skilled linemates if he's going to be effective. Not only does this stymie Grig's development, but it gave the Canucks ~5 minutes of ice time where they were allowed to have the puck for free (even moreso than usual) until Rolston broke up the line. It's so brutal to watch. I thought Ennis played okay. He created a few chances by moving his feet and lugging the puck (looked better on the wing). He's still snake bit, though.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 3 minutes into the game and Vancouver has 11 shots on goal. Rob Ray's personal conversation covering RJs call on WGR is interesting. Wonder how long it will go Is it me or is there an open mic on the radio broadcast? Trying to listen to RJ and hear heavy breathing over him. Very creepy. I couldn't believe it. This franchise is so F'd up that they crossed the booth with the broadcast. I think I heard the guy say, "Can anyone hear me? Can anyone ##### hear me?" Then someone giggled, I think it was Ray. This went on for a good 10 minutes.

Teams come in licking their chops against this listless bunch.

TrueBlueGED Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 How is it that Hodgson plays about 8 more minutes including 4 minutes of PP time and ends up with the same amount of shots as Kassian? Toews only had 1 SOG tonight, so I guess Kassian is twice as good as him.
neverenough Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 OK I think its about time to cancel NHL Center Ice. The Buffalo Sabres are nothing more than a big fat turd burger! Thanks Ted Black and all your ###### that come with you and this franchise. WGR has nothing to say but hey we ###### suck!!!!!!!! Cheers to you sucking a fat one!
X. Benedict Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 I heard the guys in the press box were writing in Doug Allen as the third game star. (I love you guys, but there is a lot more excitement right now on the Shelley Long fan site.Serious flame war going on against the Kristy Allen people. )
wjag Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 Game thoughts 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Vanek :w00t: :wallbash: :censored: 8. 9. 10.

thewookie1 Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 Vanek and Hodgson need a true power forward winger to assist them on the 1st line. Thus far they only seem to use each other to any amount of success.
carpandean Posted October 18, 2013 Report Posted October 18, 2013 How is it that Hodgson plays about 8 more minutes including 4 minutes of PP time and ends up with the same amount of shots as Kassian? And the same number of hits. Tyler Ennis had two more hits than Kassian!
