Campy Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 Wow, I like angry Stafford. Was thinking the same thing - evidently he needs to be knocked on his arse twice in rapid succession early on to have a strong game.
lalalalalaFontaine Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 Stafford making an appearance as a top-6 forward, as others have noted. Not hard to do on this team!!
... Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 In last minute or two of the third, I think Stafford finished a shift in the offensive zone and was headed toward the bench and elbowed an Islander violently as he skated up behind Drew. Money. I can see this SO as a confidence builder.
wjag Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 Well now... SABRES WIN SABRES WIN SABRES WIN
Pville29 Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 1st win and i bet the 2nd win will be as hard to get as the first.
lalalalalaFontaine Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 Woot...Woot... 1-80-1...!!!
Claude_Verret Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 Showed some heart tonight. Good job boys.
WildCard Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 Sweet jesus that felt good to watch, and against tavaras no less, that little ######
Weave Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 He comes the run to the 13th draft pick.
Lorenzo Von Matterhorn Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 Miller's audition in Garth Snow's backyard
LGR4GM Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 Well I am not going to proclaim the season is saved and all that jazz but there was a team effort out there tonight and one again it was lead but amazing GT. Ryan Miller is elite, deal with it. Risto looked better and only had a couple of rookie gafs, loved his passes. Stafford played... well? Seems odd but it happened. Hope Zemgus is okay and I am glad we won! Take every victory as it were our last.
Campy Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 Showed some heart tonight. Good job boys. Yep. They have a fair amount of talent on this team - and a lot of it is (very) young. I'm not saying they'll win the Cup this summer, but I think they're not nearly as bad as some here would have you think...
josie Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 Yay! Victory beer time. Doesn't taste like tears!
26CornerBlitz Posted October 16, 2013 Author Report Posted October 16, 2013 Duffer says Zemgus will be okay.
dudacek Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 Game thoughts: Stafford plays a few more like that and we will be able to trade him. Looked like a leader out there. Hope Girgs is alright. Larsson looked OK picking up his ice time. Ott was a wolverine tonight, but he still turns the puck over too much to be on the first line. And Porter also looked bad defensively at times, particularly the second goal. Tallinder also had some shaky moments late. Luckily Myers was there to cover up. Ryan Miller is better than any player on Edmonton. And the charge to eighth begins!
Trettioåtta Posted October 16, 2013 Report Posted October 16, 2013 So far Miller leads the NHL in shots against. He currently has 32 more shots than second place Pavelec (185 to 153)
