thewookie1 Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 Why'd Rolston move Grigs down again? He wasn't doing bad and Larsson doesn't seem to connect well with Flynn. Hodgson seemed on his game tonight, Vanek was overthinking things at times. When a 19 year old Girgs and a signed college graduate with little more experience than the 19 year old are playing better than Ennis you have a problem.....
SabresBillsFan Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 This is worse than an expansion team. Those have veterans. Too many green players. The Sabres (are you paying attention Darcy?) can lose the fans quickly. No matter the long term plans, fans want to see wins and goal scoring. It's the worst team ever in Sabres history right now. There not even exciting to watch. It's brutal to watch. I cannot believe they sold so many season seats to watch this garbage. Pegs should be ashamed of what his team looks like. They are truly a joke.

I'd rather see 19, 25, 22, and 12 as the Centers.
inkman Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 Mike Harrington was tweeting about this: The Sabres never bothered to honor Jason Pominville on the jumbotron tonight. He's the former captain who scored one of the biggest goals in franchise history, spent 10 years with the team, and is 11th all-time in points for this franchise. Nice to see the Sabres are classless as well as incompetent. #blueprint Why would they do that tonight? He might play 10 more years in the league.

darksabre Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 Why would they do that tonight? He might play 10 more years in the league. Exactly. The Sabres don't owe him any fluff pieces.
SabresBillsFan Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 I'm shocked people are showing up to watch this crap. Wake up Pegs this is your wake up call your team has 7 goals in 7 games. By far one of the most unentertaining teams in hockey to watch. They are bad real bad.
LGR4GM Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 Was it me or did grigorenko have shifts that looked good?
26CornerBlitz Posted October 15, 2013 Author Report Posted October 15, 2013 A predictably short postgame presser by RR.
SwampD Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 The problem is Ennis has no business being on this roster Good God this is true. Before he was traded, I said I would rather keep Gerbe over Ennis. Another gem of move.
Doohicksie Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 Somewhere Ruff is laughing. Somewhere? Dallas. That's where.
Robviously Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 Why would they do that tonight? He might play 10 more years in the league. Because it's his first time returning to Buffalo since he was traded? How hard would it have been to play his OT goal against Ottawa on the jumbotron and then show "Welcome Back, Jason" on the screen? I think the only criteria to work for the Sabres is that you pledge to show up for work every day and never get anything right. Exactly. The Sabres don't owe him any fluff pieces. It's not about "owing." It's about class, and being aware of what someone contributed to the organization.

It just doesn't feel right to do it tonight.
Iron Crotch Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 #63 needs to move to LW or sit. I'd rather see 19, 25, 22, and 12 as the Centers. Starting with the well discussed summer of Drury/Briere, Darcy quietly rid this team of every legitimate NHL center while no one seemed to notice. Was forced to trade Kassian for CoHo since it was obvious we had no centers. Was forced to pay a king's ransom to a very average CoHo since... we had no other centers. Was forced to play an 18 year old kid who was woefully unready since... we had no other centers. Was forced to pick up and play a journeyman (Porter) since... we had no other centers. Was forced to play a left-winger (Ennis) out of position at the pivot since... we had no other centers. ###### you, Darcy.

Doohicksie Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 I love how the word "rebuilding" basically nullifies any responsibility for the organization Hey, you took my avatar pic! Well, someone else did the pic I think, but the words are mine. That's okay, I can't say I blame you.
SabresBillsFan Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 Here's the over/under on wins for the season --10 I'm taking the under. With Vanek and Miller out of the way by deadline this is going to get much worse.

I think they should have showed a montage of Pominfluff shooting shot after shot into the opposing goalie's chest from the top of the face-off circle.
zow2 Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 People think losing to get the #1 pick is good. Well not like this. They are an embarrassment to the city, the fans and the league. The team will lose fans, revenue and sponsors at an alarming rate. You will have 6000 people in that arena in March. Rolston is a dead man walking.

Ennis doesn't even look like the same player from the last two years. Knowing Buffalo's luck they will lose the draft lottery and end up missing the best offensive player.
Hawerchuk Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 The problem is Ennis has no business being on this roster And Porter.
Robviously Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 Not trying to sound like a dick but is there precedent for such a move? It just doesn't feel right to do it tonight. Probably not much with the Sabres since it's so rare for a player to leave on good terms. But I'm thinking about how a team like the Angels recognized Torii Hunter and Vlad Guerrero when they came back to town after leaving.
Lorenzo Von Matterhorn Posted October 15, 2013 Report Posted October 15, 2013 I just watch these games to see what guys like Pysyk and Girgensons can do. Yeah several guys I enjoy watching, also I get enjoyment out of watching Scott out there because I think it's hilarious that he plays in the NHL, we had this bet during my Freshman year that if Rob Niedermayer finally scored a goal we'd all drink our own 30 really didn't think he would, think I'm gonna have the same bet with Scott. And Ennis is not an NHL center in my opinion, needs to be moved to the wing.
