Jsixspd Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 This is beyond sad tonight. Making the Blue Jackets look like the defending Stanley Cup champs
SabresBillsFan Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 The only thing we have to fear, is Darcy himself!! At least he warned everyone that there would be suffering and growing pains in order to save his ass for another year or two.
bunomatic Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 first powerplay of the night ? There's the problem. They obviously haven't been playing with any moxie. Had they been there would have been at least 1 or 2 retaliatory type calls against the Jackets.
Eleven Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 5 goals in 5 games. On pace to break the old record of 190 (full season) goals scored. Young guys need to listen to pros like Vanek and go to the net. Scoring is through hard work and effort. I don't know what that avatar is from, but it's awesome. And this team does not go to the net. It fires from the circles and then retreats.

Stoner Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 Hybrid icing is making everyone lazy, including the linesmen. On that icing a bit ago, the Columbus player stopped skating between the blue line and top of the circle, then the linesman blew his whistle way too early.
DFITZ1 Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 Weber leading the league in hits by a defensemen isn't such a surprise. With as much time as they're gonna spend in their own zone this year, he may set a record for hits!!! The only thing Weber should be hitting is the bench!
... Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 The stupid digital billboards behind the nets are more opaque.
DFITZ1 Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 And when Vanek is gone??? Then what His "moves" on his breakaway were less than awe-inspiring. With the Sabres sub-lethal goals for average, he won't be missed. Time for Terry and Ted to start blowing this disaster up.

Iron Crotch Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 If Pegula won't fire him, maybe Darcy can be furloughed?
lalalalalaFontaine Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 The stupid digital billboards behind the nets are more opaque. They're gonna need to be 100% opaque and a lot larger to hide all the empty seats the rest of the year. And next. And the year after that

Time for Terry and Ted to start blowing this disaster up. It's almost all blown up already. Once Miller and Vanek are gone it's going to be worse. I thought this was bad. They won't score any goals when Vanek goes. Lost in the shuffle is Steve Ott. He can sign where ever he wants at the end of the year.

If you mean that Vanek is sub-par, you're out of your mind.
hockeyhound Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 By "competing," do you mean that they're still on the ice? Because any other connotation of that word just isn't working for me right now. They are more deliberate which tells me they are still competing, and that means the leaders are leading. It's almost like some folks maybe be unwilling to accept a rebuild. I am not suggesting that we accept losing either. Maybe your right; however, what they are doing right now is going to determine if the rebuild is going to be successful.

26CornerBlitz Posted October 11, 2013 Author Report Posted October 11, 2013 This is beyond sad tonight. Making the Blue Jackets look like the defending Stanley Cup champs Be afraid Blackhawks.....be afraid!
Nitro60 Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 I said this the last season and I will repeat it now. Many GMs form a team that is a projection of their own personality. Darcy loves guys who can skate and make pretty passes. He does not appreciate the grinders and guys who play a tough brand of hockey. He acquires those types to appease the coaches. Until Darcy is removed, the Sabres will be a disappointing product on the ice.
Eleven Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 Be afraid Blackhawks.....be afraid! My brother-in-law in Chicago reports that folks are stockpiling water, firewood, and canned food due to the impending invasion of the Sabres. I think he's lying.
Jsixspd Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 Keep putting Myers out there....that's the ticket
North Buffalo Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 Mercifully that game is over... On the Chi town for some real punishment...

SabresBillsFan Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 They are more deliberate which tells me they are still competing, and that means the leaders are leading. It's almost like some folks maybe be unwilling to except a rebuild. I am not suggesting that we except losing either. Maybe your right; however, what they are doing right now is going to determine if the rebuild is going to be successful. It's okay to rebuild but you need a couple of solid vets to help out the youngsters. You can't let your 2 best players get moved and have nothing for the kids to build on.
