You'd be wrong. I'm far from a Myers guy, but he has been good so far, and, I'd say, this was his best game this season.

Got a long way to go if that is what you think. That last goal was all on him and his lack of physicality. You can't let a guy spin on you when you are riding him and get the puck back in front from the opposite side.

Well the good thing is I won't be angry all season, its already over. I am NOT a moral victories type of person but let's face it, those are the only ones we are getting this year.

Just got back home from work to catch OT. OT goal was all Tyler Myers. Yeesh.

The refs didn't know how to call a delayed penalty. Blew it twice when the Sabres had it and Tampa committed the penalty. Then didn't blow it on the phantom high stick call on Vanek. Also thought Porter should've had a penalty shot.

 

28-25-65 was a resounding meh.

 

Porter played another good game. I am coming around on Rolston's decision to have him in over Larsson.

Gotta think it is time to trade of cut Stafford.... Trade Myers and if Vanek or Miller need to go get as much for them as possible. I really liked Girgenson's effort.

Wow wasting 2.5 hours watching this team is suffering. This team has no and I'm mean no players that have any one on one skill besides Vanek and Hodgson. Ennis doesn't look himself right now. Wonder how long before Vanek wants out. It's going to get worse when Vanek and Miller are gone. If they don't land the top picks the next couple of years then to me that's suffering. This team is scary bad. By far one of the worst Sabres team assembled.

Brewer went around Myers like he wasn't even there. Myers then preceded to stand at the side of the net and watch the play. At least Hodgson took a body in front of the net. There is no way Myers should have let Brewer and then Killorn free wheel behind the net like that. Someone should have ended up against the glass.

I'm not convinced about Stafford's game tonight. I will concede he looked a little better in the offensive zone, but by degrees. He was still brain dead at times back-checking.

I would like to move just Myers and Stafford. Keep the other two, but it may not be possible. I am fine with the depth at D. Sabres need a scorer and a set up guy with some more grit besides Foligno. Someone with a touch more skill. Its gonna be a long time anyway at this rate.

It looked to me like the puck went up the boards and Myers thought it would go further, and that he stayed near the net like he is clearly coached to do. Hodgson's antics prevented Enroth from not only seeing where the puck was, but moving into any position to attempt to block it.

Myers had a chance to rub Brewer off the puck against the boards behind the net. He let Brewer pivot, even though he was leaning on him from behind. That cannot happen with Brewer still controlling the puck.

He's unbelievably tentative and/or lost for most of the games, and I didn't see much different this time. He goes after the puck just like my cat swats at a toy, just throwing a stick in there repetitively but not really doing anything. He can't make an outlet pass, often he just shoots it to the other d-man so he can do it. And if he's in the offensive zone, his best talent is hitting the boards

Once Vanek gets moved, Hodgson will do nothing up front with no one to pass to. This team is going to be very bad to watch. It's going to take years to clean this up. At least with Ottawa u have Spezza and Alfredsson still there when they decided to rebuild plus u have Eric Karlsson . Buffalo has nothing when Vanek and Miller get moved. I don't blame Miller and Vanek for wanting to play for a winner because this team is a mess. This is going to be Edmonton the last bunch of years with no offense.
