26CornerBlitz Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 NHL.com Preview: http://www.nhl.com/gamecenter/en/preview?id=2013020025 Two games in and only one lucky tally by Zemgus. Can anybody on this team finish?
deluca67 Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Tallinder with another "upper body injury." I think it's safe to say that giving up 40+ shots to the Pens tonight won't be in the Sabres best interest. No special teams goals for or against in the first two games. No James Neal for the Pens tonight, a break for the Sabres.
LaLaLaFontaine Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Penguins win 3:0 with Enroth being not as sharp as Miller and a tired Sabres team with effort but less power.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 5, 2013 Author Report Posted October 5, 2013 @kevinoDandC Also seen leaving rink with equipment: #Amerks goalie Matt Hackett. No idea if something happened to a #Sabres goalie but Hackett going up.
sicknfla Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Didn't he get yanked from the game last night. Post game talk with coach, " hey Matt you played like ###### tonight - we need more than that from you. BTW, grab your stuff your going to buffalo".
wjag Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 @kevinoDandC Also seen leaving rink with equipment: #Amerks goalie Matt Hackett. No idea if something happened to a #Sabres goalie but Hackett going up. Better not be true...
Weave Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Miller is probably feeling nauseous now that the realization that he'll see 65 more games like last night has set in. Team trainers assuming it is food poisoning.
Two or less Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 If puck possession stats remain the same tonight as they did the previous two nights, tonight could really get ugly. This team needs to be able to clear the puck much quicker, be tougher for opponents to enter the zone and also when attacking, keep the pressure on for more then just .15 seconds.
MILFHUNTER#518 Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Miller is probably feeling nauseous now that the realization that he'll see 65 more games like last night has set in. Team trainers assuming it is food poisoning. Gonna be a long season...
Stoner Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Miller is probably feeling nauseous now that the realization that he'll see 65 more games like last night has set in. Team trainers assuming it is food poisoning. I think this is exactly how Miller wants the first half of the season to play out. With 1-0 wins, of course.

darksabre Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Sabres win tonight. My yinzer friend drunk texts me at 2am to complain about it.
Swedesessed Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 5-1 Pens. One day closer to the removal of Regier.
CallawaySabres Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 After these 4 days of sports thunder, Buffalo fans eagerly climb into a long Winter's nap only to be awoken to the NHL trade deadline and NFL draft....
TrueBlueGED Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 If puck possession stats remain the same tonight as they did the previous two nights, tonight could really get ugly. This team needs to be able to clear the puck much quicker, be tougher for opponents to enter the zone and also when attacking, keep the pressure on for more then just .15 seconds. The good news is Pittsburgh is only a mediocre possession team. The bad news, of course, is the Sabres are an abysmal possession team.
McJeff215 Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 Interestingly... I moved to Pitt from Atlanta two days ago. I would like gloating rights, hockey gods.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 5, 2013 Author Report Posted October 5, 2013 @BuffaloSabres Forwards on the ice now for #Sabres optional morning skate in Pittsburgh: Girgensons, Grigorenko, Flynn, Scott, Larsson, McCormick
waldo Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 50-60 shots on the Sabres net tonight...lol
26CornerBlitz Posted October 5, 2013 Author Report Posted October 5, 2013 @BuffaloSabres D-men at #Sabres optional morning skate: Ristolainen, McBain, Pysyk, Sulzer. Goalies on the ice: Enroth, Hackett.
wjag Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 @BuffaloSabres D-men at #Sabres optional morning skate: Ristolainen, McBain, Pysyk, Sulzer. Goalies on the ice: Enroth, Hackett. aw frick.. what the frick happened?
26CornerBlitz Posted October 5, 2013 Author Report Posted October 5, 2013 aw frick.. what the frick happened? Rest day? @BuffaloSabres NEW BLOG from morning skate: Sulzer recalled, Hackett practicing http://goo.gl/n4NbCS #Sabres
TrueBlueGED Posted October 5, 2013 Report Posted October 5, 2013 aw frick.. what the frick happened? Optional skate. My guess on the Hackett call up is he'll be backing up Enroth tonight. After the workload Miller had last night, my guess is Rolston wants him to get the night off even if things go south tonight. Smart move IMO.
