wjag Posted November 5, 2013 Report Posted November 5, 2013 I had you at 710....I double checked....if you can show me 810, then you got it. There were 4 people that had a different total from what I see. I think Rico7 gave himself the mysterious 100 again.Nothing substantial, just $100. Eleven actually shorted himself 200 somehow. Now I may have missed something, so doublecheck the thread and if you have it different, let me know. I'm going to update every 2 weeks or so. It's just too time consuming to try and police it all the time. At least we are down to under 30 the rest of the way...so it's not too bad. The board is down 3300 as a whole, but 6 people couldn't wager once eliminated. It's nights like this that if a fluke happens, make up for the drubbings. Wow...the line is out of control in Vegas......it's as high as -430/+340 right now. I agree. A Sabres win tonight will even things up in a hurry. Good thing you posted 33o, that's looking like a bargain now. Quote
Eleven Posted November 5, 2013 Report Posted November 5, 2013 Wow...the line is out of control in Vegas......it's as high as -430/+340 right now. Makes perfect sense given what we're seeing on this board. Quote
Assquatch Posted November 5, 2013 Report Posted November 5, 2013 at $3005.. $1650 on Sharks. Not even close in this one. Bully. Quote
MattPie Posted November 5, 2013 Report Posted November 5, 2013 (edited) I think I'm at $710. $200 (one unit, right?) on Rags. I had you at 710....I double checked....if you can show me 810, then you got it. There were 4 people that had a different total from what I see. I think Rico7 gave himself the mysterious 100 again.Nothing substantial, just $100. Eleven actually shorted himself 200 somehow. The post above is the last bet I made. With the Rags win, I'd think I'm at 710+100. Unless I'm still not getting how this works or I miscalculated the $710 on 31 October. It's all fake money anyway and I don't think I'm winning the contest :). Edited November 5, 2013 by MattPie Quote

Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted November 5, 2013 Author Report Posted November 5, 2013 OK...I have 3 conflicts... Rico7...I have you at $450. I think where you missed the extra $100 is when you bumped your Sabres bet on the Ottawa game from 200 to 300 after the line came out. Nobody....I have you at 1050. You were at 1500 and put 450 on the Isles. TomWebster.....I have you at 200. You were at 800 and put 300 on the Sabres twice and lost. Please double check and tell me if I am missing something......and to make it easier, everyone doublecheck their totals on the current toteboard and give your total as you bet each game. You don't have to subtract the bet until after the game. Just say, "At 1000, 260 on Ottawa"...or whatever the amount. It is easier to wait until after the game than to subtract the bet and add it back with any winnings. As we go along and I update the totals, I am going to use the total of the most recent toteboard as your official total unless you can point out a mistake in timely fashion. I can't go through 30 pages in January. Thanks!!! You missed on Buffalo 1 game Makes perfect sense given what we're seeing on this board. This franchise is disgusting.....the bridgejumpers are all coming in on San Jose. I rarely see anything like this in a hockey game. One smaller casino has it at -550/+435 all the others are moving too. The Buffalo Sabres, a supposed NHL team, have only a 17% chance to win against another NHL team. This just doesn't happen. Maybe Terry has told all his PSU boys that it's open season. (I'm 98% joking, but these are the kinds of questions that get asked at a certain point and with violent moves like this.) At one point this morning, 2 different places TOOK THE GAME DOWN! because so much was coming in on San Jose. Crazy. Quote
Mustache of God Posted November 5, 2013 Report Posted November 5, 2013 I'll put forward $660 on the sharks. Quote
Cereal Posted November 5, 2013 Report Posted November 5, 2013 (edited) Standings as of November 3rd........no new entries from this point on.....make sure to wager at least once in November to stay alive..... Cereal 100 Shucks... I'll have to wait until the matchup at Philly on Nov. 21 as my safest bet on the underdog this month (or maybe @NJ Nov. 30). On a side note, I'll be in Philly for work 11/21 and looking to attend that game, if anyone has an extra ticket or wanting to go. Edited November 5, 2013 by Cereal Quote

Hmm, I was talking about going to that game with a buddy of mine, let me talk to him and maybe I'll just grab three tix. They're not too hard to come by these days. :) You missed on Buffalo 1 game Oops, my bad. So I'm at $710, and again I'm putting one unit at the low-low price of $330 on SJ. Quote

Wyldnwoody44 Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 ###### of course they win tonight.... Down to 1120......and to think I was gonna leave this bet alone tonight Quote
ubkev Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 This game just helps my belief that sports are fixed. The line was crazy, the whole world was on the sharks and every bookmaker in the country made a killing tonight! The Sabres shouldn't have had a shot at this one and they ended up putting a pretty big dent in half the boards bankroll. Glad I sat this one out. Good thing Drane isn't actually making book on this. I bet drane wishes he was making book after tonights game. Quote
Eleven Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 (edited) I bet drane wishes he was making book after tonights game. I know I wish he was; I'm the only one who bet Buffalo, I think. So I'm at 1970. Edited November 6, 2013 by Eleven Quote

I nearly put $100 on them, but when I heard Niemi was in net didn't pull the trigger. Figured he has to beat the Sabres someday - guess not necessarily. Good for you on risking the phony baloney money on it. Quote
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted November 6, 2013 Author Report Posted November 6, 2013 Interesting how the refs don't review that SJ goal in OT...... Carnage abound. Quote

The way we are going, a secondary contest may be up and running soon. And again.....if you are under a unit of $100, you are allowed to go "all-in". I will even be kind enough to round your winnings up to the nearest $5. Don't call ME negative! Again, there's no way I make that bet in real life. Contest versus real life is always interesting. I've been in horse contests where I use a 30-1 shot for a contest, then don't bet it for real and it comes in. I've also been in contention for a top contest, not used a 30-1 shot for it, but bet it. It would have put me near the top of the leaderboard at the time, but the actual bet made my trip profitable no matter what. Quote
wjag Posted November 6, 2013 Report Posted November 6, 2013 I'm okay with my bet last night. It was the right bet. Glad the Sabres won a game.. Quote
