If you kept reading...I said the 2nd 2-hander was crap....although it looks like he whiffed. Still crap. And I am fine being the only person to believe something. How many people here believe their spouse is the best woman in the whole world and the only one for them???

Okay if you watch the main pile some sabre gets sucker punched by a random leaf while said sabre is fighting someone else... stay classy Toronto.

I'm just sick of these forced fights. The entire thing seems so illegitimate. Fighting in hockey has its' place but I feel like it's mostly used as a gimmick nowadays. Now we're trying to establish ourselves as some tougher team and we're going to fight just to show we can and all that? Meh.

 

I wish Scott took Kessel's stick and shoved it up his ass though.

guess I should not but what the hell. Glad to see miller take about five shots, sad it was not twenty five, got to think many on Sabre bench privitely thinkinng "hammer him" , as Miller has thrown more than a few of his team mates under the bus.

 

Scott , Sabres I imagine apart from this site, on this incident thought to be weenies. Why the hell would any Leaf want to fight some weenie with five points in his entire career. Looking forward to my men coming into Buffalo taking out your team then going after the women and children, Love the Bills , hate the Sabres with a passion . Tried for awhile to get along with you all, it just a no go... Clearly Kessel swinging stick merits a suspension, better had he turtled, swinging stick loser stuff, but Scott going after Kessel loser stuff as well.

 

Clarkson in terms of being a man perhaps the only one here and he gets the suspension. This going to bond the leafs, time will tell in a tough division with Detroit added into picture will these ten games cost leafs a playoff spot or will it motivate them to better things than last season. I tried guys, at one point Sabres my second team wished nothing but the best, but over time just far to many nasty comments regarding my nation, city of Toronto ect. None of this came from me..

In our defence, the Toronto-guy started slagging on Buffalo, not the other way around. I'll bet you $ to Tim Horton's doughnuts that Tropp and Foligno are out a lot longer than Clarkson, with Foligno out hurting our season just as much.

 

The rest will just make the games more interesting.

By the way....Tropp ASKED for the fight...which is what I sort of expected. Which makes this whole thing even more laughable. I am glad however everyone joined the fracas as in years past we would have had Hecht picking up gloves and sticks as Scott is getting triple-teamed. And Rolston is doing a nice job in the aftermath. Even though nobody really has a beef here, at least he will play along and protect his guys without sounding whiney. Usually the Sabres are the whiners after things like this.

Would you please read my posts in this thread...the entire incident is laughable. And Yahoo sports was the one that said Tropp wanted the fight.

 

jackass comment, ghost a troll, he has been loyal and avid sabre supporter for many years. Moderator or not you right out of line .

Don't worry....Lindy is fired, Regier is still the GM, the team spent $20 million over the cap and still couldn't make the playoffs, and they are 100-1 to win the Stanley Cup in Hockey Heaven. The fans need to find bad guys to vent on since all the "good guys" are incompetent.

Welcome back Millbank! I think just about everyone here values your posts. Don't get hung up on the loudmouths and don't be a stranger.

 

And I'll betcha a 6-pack of Brador that the Sabres have a better season than the Leafs!

hello n... stopped posting last year, really had tried to show myself friendly not be jackass. this is a Sabre site , not a hockey site which does exclude me. Got to say I do lurk and do at times want to take some out to corn field. :o :lol: want to say in sincerity, those who do the work of keeping site running it a thankless work, voluntary, in no way is it my desire to be disrespectful

Liked the tone of the Miller/Scott/Ott/Rolston soundbites today.

No whining, no venom, no defensiveness. It was all business; they did what they had to do and they'd do it again.

That's the attitude I want to see.

If that is the atmosphere Rolston is creating, I'm definitely starting to like him.

It's irrelevant what happened to start the Tropp fight. The Sabres had scored 2 quick goals and the Leafs wanted momentum and the 6'5 dude went near Tropp looking for blood. The tough side of Tropp kicked him, well knowing what the Leafs wanted, and he wouldn't back down from anyone so he fought. And got a beating. But he could of been a bit classy and let go, and not thrown the final punch for the KO or drive him into the ice. That was crossing the line. And as good teammates they are, they stood up for them. Not Scott's fault that Toronto send out Kessel line.

 

Spndnchz is totally correct in her comment. Not sure why it's so hard for some people to see that? It's pretty simple. This is hockey 101. If you want to talk about if fighting should be allowed or not, is a different topic.

Far from the truth. It's mostly Toronto that is on this "Sabres are weenies" wagon. Kelly Chase was on Fan 590 today and called most of the panel crazy. Cmon. What did you expect? I personally always enjoyed your posts because you are a well thought poster and intelligent when it comes to hockey, but just like anybody else who has a passion for a team, your tune had always changed when Leafs played the Sabres. I understood it, you're a Leafs fan and everything goes to the side when you're posting about them then giving your $0.02 on the league or a outsiders perspective on the Sabres. But, it is what it is, you're a Leafs fan who doesn't like the Sabres, on a all-Sabres forum, and you want sympathy? Please.

 

Like i said, always enjoyed your posts and have no ill-will towards you whatsoever, but if you never posted on here again i wouldn't ever think twice about it.

Like many of the other Sabres fans here I always found your posts pretty fair. Tonight you might be taking a bit of a beating but I'm sure if I went on a leafs site tonight I'd take a beating as well. Alls fair in love and hockey. Tonight we're all a little like the proud parents of an ugly baby. ( sabres and leafs fans alike ) . When we look into that crib with the jaundiced eye of a parent all we see is the beauty and unfortunately we're blind to the warts and imperfections of our child. And thats unfortunate. If we could all suspend the obvious biased opinions perhaps we'd see some honesty in this discussion. But you and I both know that ain't happening when emotions run high.
