LGR4GM Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 I'd guess 7games is the middle and I will take the over so 7+ games for Kaleta, he is after all no Phil Kessel Quote
Lorenzo Von Matterhorn Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 Yeah I got 10 after seeing 5 gamer last year bet Shanny doubles it up to "teach him a lesson" Quote
K-9 Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 Does it really matter? It was cheap and uncalled for, regardless. But losing Kaleta for any length of time isn't gonna put a dent in our playoff chances. GO SABRES!!! Quote
26CornerBlitz Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 Edler gets three. He plays for the Canucks and, while a repeat offender, doesn't really have the history that Kaleta has. Ding! Quote

Kaleta is not in NYC, according to a report. TSN’s Darren Dreger tweeted that the NHL is still waiting for Sabres winger Pat Kaleta “to decide on in-person or conference call hearing”. More to come… Quote
rickshaw Posted October 11, 2013 Author Report Posted October 11, 2013 Well folks, this is why he needs to go. He can't figure it out Quote
bcsaberks Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 3 for Elder is nuts. Looked like a good clean hit that the kid didn't absorb well. If he doesn't score 4 the other night is it the same? Kaleta, eh, hard to tell from the one angle I saw, but if he threw a deliberate elbow to the head he's an idiot and I'd like to change my vote. I watched it over and over, I can't see how he could have got his elbow up that fast, the last you see of Kaleta's body his arms are still down, I think it was the shoulder that made contact. Still it's Kaleta and Shanahan has to be tough with someone. As far as getting rid of Kaleta, I'd say no, if half of the players on this team played with the heart Kaleta plays with, they would be in a lot better position than they are now. Quote
26CornerBlitz Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 (edited) @BNHarrington The #Sabres confirm Kaleta's hearing is Tuesday. He'll sit until then. @BuffaloSabres NEWS ALERT: Kaleta suspended pending hearing http://goo.gl/C20G7Z Edited October 12, 2013 by 26CornerBlitz Quote
dudacek Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 Really? If this was the NFL it would be inconclusive evidence. The ruling on the ice stands. But it's Kaleta he won't be given any benefit of the doubt. Quote
bunomatic Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 He made this bed. He can sleep in it. If his past indiscretions lead to stiffer penalties so be it. Quote
rickshaw Posted October 12, 2013 Author Report Posted October 12, 2013 (edited) Kaleta has heart bla bla bla. So what? He gets suspended every year. EVERY year. He's not to be relied on. Get rid of him. He's talked about in every hockey circle and it's not about his heart. He must go. He's getting 12 games Edited October 12, 2013 by rickshaw Quote

He's talked about in every hockey circle and it's not about his heart. He must go. Campy Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 (edited) No doubt I am a homer - it's really hard for me to be objective about my teams. That said, why is he suspended? For making a hockey play? I wholly appreciate trying to take the hits that cross the line out of the game, and I'm fully aware that Kaleta has delivered more than a couple of those hits. But I just don't see where he did this time. I believe he was trying to light up Johnson, no doubt, but it wasn't a cheap shot and he wasn't head hunting. Not to my eyes, anyway. And I voted keep him. He has heart, hustle, and entertainment value. This year's team needs all of those things. Edited October 12, 2013 by Campy Quote
Eleven Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 They're denying him bail pending trial, huh? I still think ten games. Quote

ALF Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 I like Kaleta a lot, but he has to stop any real dirty hits. Quote
bunomatic Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 Word is the league and Shannaban have enlisted the help of N.A.S.A. to break down the video frame by frame to find the transgression. Quote
HopefulFuture Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 I voted trade him, but meh, I don't care either way if he stays or goes for the next couple of seasons. Quote
MILFHUNTER#518 Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 They're denying him bail pending trial, huh? I still think ten games. He should not get any, Johnson had the puck and Kaleta bumped him into the boards from the side while trying to bail on the hit at the last minute. This is just plain silly to me, I mean are they trying to legislate all heavy hitting out of the game completely? Quote
spndnchz Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 It'll give him time for his nose and hand to heal up. Quote
MILFHUNTER#518 Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 It'll give him time for his nose and hand to heal up. That is one caveat. I know he is aggressive and has made some mistakes, but this is hockey, not figure skating. That was not even a borderline hit, it was a hockey play. Quote
skaught Posted October 12, 2013 Report Posted October 12, 2013 He hit the boards pretty hard, but its not like he broke the glass. Quote
