26CornerBlitz Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Preseason Game #2 is up tonight. Miller makes his preseason debut. @pham1717 Miller and Hackett will be in goal Tuesday in Columbus.
TrueBlueGED Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 No Enroth? Let the backup goalie controversy commence! :P
nfreeman Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 I don't suppose there's any TV/web stream/other video coverage?
Dannepanne Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Awesome, more Zemgus tonight! http://sabres.nhl.com/v2/ext/2013-14%20Preseason/9-17-cbj-notes.pdf
Eleven Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Paul Hamilton @pham1717 5m Tonight's lines, Foligno Hodgson Vanek, Girgensons Grigorenko Tropp, Ennis Larsson Armia, Scott Ellis Tardif, Miller and Hackett in goal Paul Hamilton @pham1717 4m Defense Ehrhoff Myers, McNabb Ruhwedel, Sulzer Gauthier-Leduc.
dudacek Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Girgs, Grigs and Larsson the only repeats. Glad to see it. Hope all three (and Risto) get all kinds of action in the preason.
TrueBlueGED Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Interesting. If I were coach I'd flip Grigorenko and Larsson with those lines. Any theories as to why Larsson is getting the scorers instead of the more defensive or two way players?
... Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 I don't suppose there's any TV/web stream/other video coverage? Unless something has changed, I don't think this was scheduled to be televised by anyone.

Any theories as to why Larsson is getting the scorers instead of the more defensive or two way players? Let Grigo worry less about defense to open up his offensive game? To give a more balanced team?
K-9 Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Has there been a Zadarov sighting all camp long? Was he sent back to juniors? Apologies if already asked and answered. GO SABRES!!!
26CornerBlitz Posted September 17, 2013 Author Report Posted September 17, 2013 Has there been a Zadarov sighting all camp long? Was he sent back to juniors? Apologies if already asked and answered. GO SABRES!!! He's still with the Sabres and played in the preseason opener against Montreal. @BuffaloSabres Morning skate blog updated with quotes from Tropp, Armia, Rolston http://goo.gl/U5bA4w #Sabres

But you never know.

I really like this kid and I've been hoping beyond rational hope that he'd somehow stay but the odds have been against it from the start. Risto on the other hand... GO SABRES!!!
LGR4GM Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Zadorov I really like but considering we have a log jam of guys at defense let Zadorov go back to juniors and play 25minutes a night in all situations. Next year he can challenge for a spot. This also is my theory on Girgensons with a slight twist in that Zemgus can go back to Rochester and come up half way through the year when we clear space. o and this is a must win ... ...for Ryan Miller. Hackett is all ready to take over...

Hackett is all ready to take over... All joking aside I think Hackett is the front runner to be the #1 whenever Miller hits the road. I am one of those that believes Enroth cannot handle the workload of a #1. At the very least Enroth and Hackett share the workload evenly with the"hot goalie" mindset being in play.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but what in his 13 games in the NHL done to convince you of that? Uh-oh, Hackett is 6'2" and 173 lbs. That's 2 lbs. less than Miller! He'll never make it through a season! (that one is sarcasm)
LGR4GM Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Vanek with the C tonight. WOOOOOO!!!!!!! Seems right to give Vans the C... like a long awaited present. Hopefully he gets it in the regular season. LETS GO BUFFALO!!!
LGR4GM Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 For anyone that is interested both Foligno's are in their respective lineups tonight.
