IKnowPhysics Posted August 15, 2013 Report Posted August 15, 2013 It made sense, as mentioned before, he was coming to all the home games to do a (very enjoyable) live two minute segment and not much else. I think he could contribute just as much with recorded segments that can be played during intermissions. I think it'd be nice to hear stories on SHH as well, which he could do in person or by phone.
spndnchz Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 He's back on the Leafs broadcast team.
Peppy22 Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 To be honest with you. While listening to the pbp he was talking so much crazy stuff that made me go "wtf"... wrong player names, wrong team names, wrong dates or scores... It was noticeable. I think (and that might sound harsh) the age got to him. He still is a great hockey guy but not in that speedy play-by-play part of the game.
Weave Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Love the guy. Fond memories from my younger days watching HNiC. I won't speak ill of him because he's not the broadcaster he used to be. If the Leafs want him to be a part of their broadcast team I say, "congrats Harry".
