Andrew Amerk Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 Well, this is a crappy turn of events. Quote
Huckleberry Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 From the little I've seen, the Amerks look terrible in front of their own net They were doing great untill 3 minutes ago. Quote
WildCard Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 They were doing great untill 3 minutes ago. They were winning, but I've been seeing crazy scrambles like that in front of Makarov a few times in this game, and too often in the highlight videos I've seen. Quote
darksabre Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 From the little I've seen, the Amerks look terrible in front of their own net Everyone is trying to get to the puck and no one is trying to hold their ground. Someone has to try to provide some interference on the Chicago players to make some space in those situations. Quote

I think you're right; on that Grigorenko scramble that lead to that penalty he took, everyone was just staring at their feet look for the puck, nobody was looking at anything other than the puck Quote
26CornerBlitz Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 @kevinoDandC The replay sure seemed to show a very good defensive stick by Mikhail Grigorenko. No slash, no hook on Nathan Longpre. Mistakes happen tho. Quote
Huckleberry Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 (edited) not getting much on net in the third... good a pp Edited May 4, 2014 by Heimdall Quote
Huckleberry Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 yeah they'll need a miracle to win this one :P Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 yeah they'll need a miracle to win this one :P No miracles today. Amerks lose. Quote
WildCard Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 Absolutely terrible decision to try to shoot that puck off the boards by Ruwehdal leads to an empty net winner for Chicago Quote

Huckleberry Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 was hoping Grigorenko would score, seemed to be the only one in the third creating something. Quote
Andrew Amerk Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 was hoping Grigorenko would score, seemed to be the only one in the third creating something. Armia sounded like a ghost. Not even sure that I heard Don Stevens say his name once. Quote
kishoph Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 Is there anyone in the Sabres organization that can play the point ? Quote
Huckleberry Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 Armia sounded like a ghost. Not even sure that I heard Don Stevens say his name once. Yeah most of them got badly outmuscled in the third, Varone looked weak all game. Grigorenko's line was the only line getting things done offensively in the third. Probably the reason Cassidy put him out there during the final minute. Quote
LGR4GM Posted May 4, 2014 Report Posted May 4, 2014 Grigorenko is trending up slowly. I want him no where near the NHL next season, he needs at least another full year in the AHL and maybe 2. I have faith that if you don't rush him, good things. Quote

Huckleberry Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 Never know he might stick around for it, but he needs a year in the AHL atleast. Quote

nfreeman Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 Shall we start the Chadd Cassidy sayonara timer? I'm guessing he's gone by COB on Tuesday. Quote
pastajoe Posted May 5, 2014 Report Posted May 5, 2014 Why get rid of Cassidy? He did well with a young and often depleted lineup, and the players like him. Quote
