Now we know why Pysyk got sent down. Jets are looking at him as part of a Kane trade and wanted to see how he looked playing with some decent teammates first.

12/18: RCH 2, TOR 1 (F/SO) -- Amerks rally for 2-1 shootout win over Marlies:

 

Rookie forward Dan Catenacci scored the winning goal in the seventh round of the shootout as the Rochester Americans came back to defeat the visiting Toronto Marlies 2-1 Wednesday night at The Blue Cross Arena. The win extends Rochester’s home winning streak to a season-high six games and brings the Amerks record to 13-11-2-2 on the season, tying them for first place in the North Division with Toronto.

 

Mike Zigomanis scored the lone goal for the Amerks midway through the third period on assists from Luke Adam and Phil Varone. Matt Hackett stopped 19 shots in net to earn his eighth win of the season.
