I cut the lawn today. Looks really good.

Now I’m on the porch, drinking PBR beer, making sure no one walks on it.

I've been in the gym 6 days a week for the past month and a half. I generally go high reps. I've been going heavy weights and low reps for the past week. I leg pressed 748 lbs 10 times the other day. So I figured it was time to climb back under the squat rack. I put up 315 for 8 reps yesterday. Should be able to do 405 by ski season.

And today I'm going to ruin all my nutrition by eating like I'm headed to the electric chair. State fair, baby!

Dinosaur BBQ isn't at the fair this year. So I'm eating significantly less calories.

Damn son!!

I'm up to 196 lbs after my injury last August, an angiogram and venogram, compartment testing and 4 MRI/MRA later.... I have yet another specialist appt next week with zero indication of a diagnosis.

If this ever does get resolved, I am not sure that I'll get that same motivation to train again for the Triathalon.

Aging sucks

I went on bike to a bar last night - 6km in the wind - was worse on the return when I was really drunk 😛

I went on a bike to four bars last night - 23 miles (37 km), with the ride home into the wind.  I was drunk but I've been worse.  After all, that's what I do every Sunday (well, usually only two bars but since today was a holiday we stayed out later.... got home about 2 am.)

Yeah one of the bars I frequent switched to new beers and dumped stella artois ( its better but they basically bully bars over here and owners have enough of it).

So now this is my beer there -  Gouden Carolus 9%

Looks delicious.

To be fair, I knew it would be a long night so I stuck with Modelo most of the night (basically a Mexican version of Stella Artois 😉).

Another quick fixie ride tonight... 17 miles including a couple of longish hills.  I broke a sweat, sure, but the temps are down into the 70s for the first time in.... a while, so it actually felt cool at times.

Went on a 15 mile ride 2 days ago, not only am I severely deconditioned, but it caused the calf swelling to rear it's ugly head something fierce.

I saw a lower leg specialist today and she was suggesting gastrocnemius release surgery as that's kind of the only thing left after all the other tests haven't given a real answer. It had now creeped into the Bilateral lower legs.

If the release works then I'll be so happy and shouldn't have too long of a recovery, but if she needs to release the Soleus muscle too, she said that I'll lose about 25% of my leg strength and probably won't ever do an Ironman.
