WildCard
So Pat Kane. Watch this, he never loses the puck, and never lets it touch one of the other pucks on the ice: http://www.wimp.com/...khandlingearth/ Now, watch it again. Watch his skates this time. He also never lets his skates touch the pucks on the ice. The kid trained hard. and then there's this guy

Trettioåtta
Scrivens is elite So Pat Kane. He also never lets his skates touch the pucks on the ice. The kid trained hard. When I saw this, the thing i noticed more than his puck skills was his skates not touching the other pucks. Very impressive control
apuszczalowski
Wow The Sharks attempted 100 shots. I wonder what the Oilers would give up for a D-Man? More like I wonder what Scrivens would give up for the Oilers to get him some actual D-Man in front of him
Taro T
Ben Scrivens just set an NHL record for saves in a shutout with 59. Edmonton won 3-0 and is on a three game win streak. Tank nation satisfied. Last I checked, 59 is still less than 70.
LGR4GM
Last I checked, 59 is still less than 70. I think that was the playoffs, correct? Maybe they mean regular season?
Eleven
Last I checked, 59 is still less than 70. Most saves in a shutout. And the overall record for most saves is 80.
That Aud Smell
I think that was the playoffs, correct? Maybe they mean regular season? i think they mean that a 59-save shutout is a record for a win in regulation time. dom's 70 saves came after several OTs (which can only occur in the playoffs, so your point is valid -- they mean regular season). Exactly. Dom was in 4OT. Also, Patrick Roy had 63 saves in the 1-0 3OT clincher vs. the Panthers in Game 4 of the Cup Finals. It isn't. It's only a record for a shutout win. Sam LoPresti made 80 saves in a regular-season game in 1941. It was not an overtime game. http://blackhawksleg...m-lopresti.html Edited January 30, 2014 by Eleven

Hoss
@Avalanche: BREAKING: The #Avs have signed Semyon Varlamov to a 5-year contract extension through 2018-19: http://t.co/NTFmquQFMP http://t.co/MxakYRnNcG Not that they were ever an option for Miller, but that kills any talks about it. $5.9 mill per. Brawndo
James Mirtle @mirtle 1h Ben Bishop hurt in Tampa. That would be bad news for them. Dave Davis @DaveDavisHockey 1h Not to worry- Tim Murray has a solution for you! MT @DMokoros: Tampa Bay's playoff bid could be in jeopardy if Ben Bishop is gone long-term. Hoss
Don't see Tampa giving up anything worthwhile when they know Bishop is their solution already. He'd be my pick for Vezina if the season ended today.

Taro T
Most saves in a shutout. And the overall record for most saves is 80. As you appear to have figured out based on your later posts, 70 saves on 70 shots typically is considered a shutout; though that 1 could have been considered 2. ;)
Iron Crotch
Nathan MacKinnon is no joke. Kid just scored his 19th goal for the Avs on a beautiful breakaway shot. The Avs are loaded at Center.

Well this is probably for another thread but if Bishop is going to be out say 6-8 weeks, with how loaded TB is in prospects, they could trade for Miller a pick and prospect and honestly not think much of it.
