Good move. I like Jhonas a lot. My biggest concern with him is if the league ever decides to shrink the size of goalie pads (which has been discussed this year), it might hurt him more than other goalies given his small size.

Miller was the first guy to text Enroth after the World Championship Win to say congrats.

That's a nice *passing the torch* kinda gesture by Millsie (one fine day, I will be glad not to hear that name anymore).

Well this sure looks like preparation for a trade.

Miller + #16 to Calgary for #6, #22 and Defenseman John Ramage, plus a conditional pick if Miller Resigns.

That sounds pretty reasonable actually...

Why would a rebuilding team like the Flames want an almost 33 year old Miller entering the final year of a $6 million/year contract?

Also, why would Miller want to go to a non-contending Calgary?....especially with his wife in LA.

I would consider it a miracle if Calgary took Miller and #16 and we only got #6 in return.

Four trips to LA (Ducks and Kings)?

Definitly means Milelr is gone, You don't spend $1.25 million on a goaltender (with only about a 1/2 an NHL season worth of starts in his career) to sit on the bench

I can't wait for this trainwreck to continue next season..........

Miller and Vanek deserve better like hasek and need to be moved to let them have a chance at being on a winner and get a cup while Terry plays fantasy owner making sure he doesn't upset any one who works for him by having them think theres a chance they could every lose their job.

A solid increase from 725k this past season.

Enroth's two-year deal in Buffalo: $1.25 million per year

Good deal. Best case scenario is he can be a decent starter and we have him cheap for another two years. Worst case scenario is he's just a career backup making a little too much for a year or two.

Such a move would convince me divine intervention is real.

Miller is a good goalie. Varlamov netted a first and two seconds...

Different situations. Calgary is looking for a complete rebuild, and an expensive goaltender entering the last phase of his career makes no sense. The Avs thought they were acquiring a young, cheap netminder who could grow with the rest of the team.

It really doesn't guarantee anything. Looking through capgeek at backup goalies there are only maybe 5 or 6 guys making less than Enroth. And some of them are on entry level deals. $1.25 is backup goalie price.

I think the next thing we need to see is what contract Matt Hackett gets. He is also a RFA.

His qualifying offer. $715,000 Maybe two years 850.
