shrader Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 I hate to single you out on this one, but nfreeman, do you still feel as highly about the NY Post as you did the other day?
spndnchz Posted April 18, 2013 Author Report Posted April 18, 2013 Guy in dark hat and guy in white cap.
darksabre Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 Steve Ott calling for vigilante justice on twitter. I love him more every day.
Robviously Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 Steve Ott calling for vigilante justice on twitter. I love him more every day. What could possibly go wrong?
nfreeman Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 I hate to single you out on this one, but nfreeman, do you still feel as highly about the NY Post as you did the other day? Absolutely. What they reported was correct -- suspect in custody. He was questioned and released, but at the time, their reporting was correct.
Robviously Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 Absolutely. What they reported was correct -- suspect in custody. He was questioned and released, but at the time, their reporting was correct. I don't think he was ever a "suspect" or "in custody", but they I don't think they said either of those things. He was a "person of interest" being guarded at the hospital. They eventually went through his apartment hours later and there was nothing there. So technically everything about that was true. He just wasn't involved. What they did screw up was the "12 dead" thing. Still not sure where that came from.

inkman Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 What could possibly go wrong? I hope they are damn sure these dudes are involved.
Iron Crotch Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 What they did screw up was the "12 dead" thing. Still not sure where that came from. Yeah, that was definitely a big screw-up. I wonder if someone just said "about a dozen dead" and they went with it? Who knows....
LastPommerFan Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 By the way....they deported him. Source?
darksabre Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 What could possibly go wrong? If Steve Ott kills a terrorist his number gets retired immediately.
Robviously Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 I hope they are damn sure these dudes are involved. We'll know pretty quickly. If you're one of those guys and you weren't involved, wouldn't you call the police within about 2 minutes to tell them who you are and what you were doing there?

If you're one of those guys and you weren't involved, wouldn't you call the police within about 2 minutes to tell them who you are and what you were doing there? Unless they are already "gone". Source? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TU73EZmYjF4 It's all over the place today. Reuters reported Obama had an unscheduled meeting with the Saudis yesterday.

LastPommerFan Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 All I see are rumors from quasi journalists and bloggers and an official denial from ICE.

That's having a lot of faith in our law enforcement agencies.
LastPommerFan Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 That's having a lot of faith in our law enforcement agencies. Yeah, I'd be calling an attorney and on the next flight to switzerland.
Robviously Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 That's having a lot of faith in our law enforcement agencies. As opposed to what? Hoping they never ever figure out that it's you in the picture? And just hope they never kick your door down with a SWAT team? If you have absolutely nothing to hide, you clear it up as soon as possible. And not just for you. It would also help them move on and, ideally, find the right person instead of wasting their time trying to figure out who you are.
... Posted April 18, 2013 Report Posted April 18, 2013 Interesting how? There's nothing remotely out of place in those photos. Still not interesting?
shrader Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 Absolutely. What they reported was correct -- suspect in custody. He was questioned and released, but at the time, their reporting was correct. And the 12 dead report? The one that really made me say this though was putting the picture of those two other kids on their cover today. That one is inexcusable.
darksabre Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 Still not interesting? Neither of the men in the link you initially posted are the suspects being targeted by the FBI so...
inkman Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 Yeah, I'd be calling an attorney and on the next flight to switzerland. I like the way you think
... Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 Neither of the men in the link you initially posted are the suspects being targeted by the FBI so... So? I thought the entire online sleuthing was interesting, and it turns out this is all the Feds have to go with.
darksabre Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 So? I thought the entire online sleuthing was interesting, and it turns out this is all the Feds have to go with. Oh the power of reddit right now is very cool. Crowdsourcing investigation is brilliant.
Stoner Posted April 19, 2013 Report Posted April 19, 2013 Idiot on the ice: endearing. Idiot off it: not so much. Steve Ott is an idiot 24/7, apparently. For those who don't do Twitter, Ott called for the suspects to be tortured, "no need for court."
