LabattBlue Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 I don't know how to embed a tweet, but Mary Alice Demler reporting that Ed Kilgore is leaving Channel 2 and going to work for Pegula(East Resources Company).

IKnowPhysics Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 So long and thanks for all the Trout. Douglas Vonnegut?
MattPie Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 Douglas Vonnegut? Yeah, I kind nerded it up there, didn't I? :)
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 I think Promo the Robot should put in an application...........He can probably net 6 figures from the guy.

Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 This season is the gift that keeps on giving..... At this point...I'm all for exhuming #2 from the grave in order to get some DNA and clone a team for 2035.......that's probably our best shot.
Sabres Fan in NS Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 How old is Kilgore? Shouldn't he be collecting SS by now? The rug on top of his head is at least as old as me.
MattPie Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 Good God (PBUH), how can someone have not made a wiki page about him? There's something very wrong when I can't google a minor celebrity to find out his birthday in 4 seconds. :)
LastPommerFan Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 He has accepted a position with East Resources, a company run by Terry Pegula. It is important to note that Ed's position will not involve the Buffalo Sabres, so Ed will continue to objectively cover the Buffalo Sabres during the final weeks of his time at Channel 2. http://www.wgrz.com/news/article/210002/37/Sports-Director-Ed-Kilgore-Leaving-Channel-2-For-New-Challenge Ok, this stinks to high hockey heaven.

X. Benedict Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 The rug on top of his head is at least as old as me. I remember in the mid 70's Ed was going as bald as a turtle. He's aged well since. Congrats on a great career, Eddy!

Jeanbe Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 Douglas Vonnegut? Should be Kurt Vonnegut. Kilgore Trout! Nice.
Two or less Posted April 10, 2013 Report Posted April 10, 2013 No wonder this guy has been Pegula's biggest cheerleader on twitter.
Stoner Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 I remember during the initial presser how Terry looked at Ed's "hair" and noted how both of them had some gray, unlike the good old days. Uhhh. We're really into Bizarro Buffalo World now.
North Buffalo Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 Wow didn't realize he was still around... always was a cheerleader.
Stoner Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 From LinkedIn: East Resources, Inc. was formed by Terrence M. Pegula in 1983. The company explored for and produced oil & gas, primarily in the Appalachian Basin, and it acquired a significant position in the Marcellus Shale play in Pennsylvania. In July of 2010, the company, through the sale of an affiliate, East Resources Management, LLC, sold its Marcellus Shale and other assets in Pennsylvania, New York, and Colorado to an affiliate of Shell Oil Company. The company's principal place of business is now located in Boca Raton, Florida. So East is still around and Terry's still in the oil and gas business. Why does he need an Ed Kilgore?
blugold43 Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 yeah what the heck is Ed doing? commercials?
Nitro60 Posted April 11, 2013 Report Posted April 11, 2013 Met Mr Kilgore at the Aud ticket line in May of 74. We were outside waiting in line to buy tickets to the Philadelphia game (infamous fog game). He was a nice and really pleasant. He was there to interview the Sabres players but took time to chat with the fans. Ed is a true gentleman and had a great run at channel 2. I wish him well.
