shrader Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Still waiting for picks. In the mean time, from a friend that's a MN-born Wild fan. He probably plays too much NHL 13: Why are people calling him the backup in Houston when he has played twice as many games as their other goalie?
Iron Crotch Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Don't forget what's already in the system. And these kids will be 23 and 25 in 3 years. I think that is it entirely. Our scoring center of the future is Grigo. CoHo is our other scoring center. Add Larrson + Girgensons in the 3/4 roles and in a couple of years we look a whole lot stronger down the middle. Pretty clear Miller won't be here beyond next year. Vanek? Who knows?
Trettioåtta Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Larsson has 37 points in 62 games in the AHL, he is hardly tearing it up. This is pure ######. I hope we have a first and a second and a third coming back. Otherwise DR just gave up our best forward for no reason. And in doing so, just gave up Vanek and Miller
IKnowPhysics Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Why are people calling him the backup in Houston when he has played twice as many games as their other goalie? I don't defend that guy. I know more about hockey than him, so take that as you will. Nice guy though.
TheMatrix31 Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Wild fan friend: "You got our best goalie prospect and number 3 forward prospect. But I love this trade."
Lanny Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Why are people calling him the backup in Houston when he has played twice as many games as their other goalie? And he is with the Wild right now.
Stoner Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 .922 save percentage for Hackett in 12 games with Wild in 11-12.

dudacek Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Pominville did everything well except hit. Too bad so many mistook his calm for lack of fire. Will miss the guy.
thewookie1 Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 BS trade, plain stupidity by Darcy. Get him the hell out of the GM's chair.
Patty16 Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 if this is the only trade going down WGR is going to be set on fire.

He is said to be a top prospect.

spndnchz Posted April 3, 2013 Author Report Posted April 3, 2013 Interesting. Thanks for the legwork. Here's my question: does anyone know whether Larsson is really a center? i.e. has he been playing center in the AHL this year? (Not half a season at center in Europe 5 years ago)? I've read that he's listed as a LW but has been playing center.
EZBills7 Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Why are people calling him the backup in Houston when he has played twice as many games as their other goalie? Right. Hackett's AHL stats this year: 19-20-3, no SOs, 2.66 GA (28th place out of 48 players), .907 save %. By comparison, Leggio is 35-21-1 with a 2.53 GAA (20th place) and a .924 save %.
EasternOHSabresFan Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Wild fan friend: "You got our best goalie prospect and number 3 forward prospect. But I love this trade." Of COURSE he does... they are in a great position to win... we're rebuilding. I hope he is very successful in Minnesota. I'll miss him.... but not NEAR as much as Danny Briere. O Danny Boy.... :(
Trettioåtta Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Hachett has a .907 average this year - watch out Northeast, we have the next vezina on our team...
Eleven Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 How is 5'10" a "big" center, even at 200 lbs.?
Patty16 Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 I've read that he's listed as a LW but has been playing center. He sounds like a younger Hecht.
wjag Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 How is 5'10" a "big" center, even at 200 lbs.? You know, in Buffalo size doesn't matter.
X. Benedict Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Just a question: who plays RW now? Luke Adam?
Trettioåtta Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 No one said he was tearing it up. He is said to be a top prospect. We need talent. We have enough bottom 6 scrubs. We now need 3 top 6 players. It will be 4 top 6 players when we have to trade Vanek. Our goalies next season are Enroth and Hackett and our top 6 is Ennis and Hackett... Looks like we might be in for a 3+ year rebuild
26CornerBlitz Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 @BillHoppeNHL 36s HockeyDB already has Johan Larsson on the Sabres ... http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=127786&encode=TRUE …
PromoTheRobot Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Fans opinions arent gonna sell me at all. Certainly not the positive ones.
