qwksndmonster Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 I like the new guys' names. That's all the analysis I have on them.
TheMatrix31 Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 If picks are involved, this will be much more palatable.
LastPommerFan Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 It's been great. I only hope that the goalie you got for me lets you get rid of that sourpuss Miller. I'll miss you all.
26CornerBlitz Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 @pham1717 1m A Minnesota writer says high picks are involved
Eleven Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 From Kris Baker: Johan Larsson: hard working C, excellent all-around skills, thick frame, really nice offensive upside. 37 points in 3/4 of an AHL season is offensive upside now?
LGR4GM Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 We just traded our most consistent player for the past 7years... Idk how I feel about this trade. This sets us back depending on how these "prospects" come in and play. Larsson http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=127786
Rico7 Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 If picks are involved, this will be much more palatable. Agree. Without any picks coming our way, I hate this trade
Iron Crotch Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 NHLN says we got a 2nd for Pominville also I think we're going to try to get everyone's second rounders. 30 straight picks! :P
nobody Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Eklind, I know, says a 1st and 2nd too. god let it be true Though probably the 2 goes to Minny and the 1 goes to Buf. Unless the Sabres are keeping a big chunk of salary for the picks.
Eleven Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 This signals that the Sabres are looking at a 3 year rebuild, and not looking at icing a competent team next year. You can say goodbye to Vanek now, too. (Over the summer.)
Stoner Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 I like the new guys' names. That's all the analysis I have on them. You're probably going to love Hackett. :)
SDS Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 We just traded our most consistent player for the past 7years... Idk how I feel about this trade. This sets us back depending on how these "prospects" come in and play. Larsson http://www.hockeydb.....php?pid=127786 Yeah, we've done so well with JP leading the charge. Does that set us back to 29th or 30th?
Patty16 Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 This signals that the Sabres are looking at a 3 year rebuild, and not looking at icing a competent team next year. You can say goodbye to Vanek now, too. 3 years? right now they arent anywhere near that. These kids have almost no NHL experience and stockpiling picks doesnt get you NHL players in 3 years. Yes i know they could flip them but this team is getting a whole lot worse pretty fast.
Trettioåtta Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 So far, me no likey. Isn't Hackett dealing with a back injury this year or am I mixing up Wild goalies? He is the back-up in the AHL
qwksndmonster Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Pommer for a young defensive center and a goalie prospect. Okay... really need a 1 with this.
LGR4GM Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Yeah, we've done so well with JP leading the charge. Does that set us back to 29th or 30th? wow I am not even allowed to be sad that we just traded a player I have watched for the past 8 years>?
26CornerBlitz Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 @DaveDavisHockey 2m Hackett will be an RFA this summer. Larsson has 2 years remaining on his ELC at 870k per season. #Sabres
qwksndmonster Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 You're probably going to love Hackett. :) Is he made of chocolate or something?
nucci Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 wow I am not even allowed to be sad that we just traded a player I have watched for the past 8 years>? To be fair you sounded more critical than sad.
Derrico Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 I hear the picks are two 1st but in 2015 so they're worthles (Just kidding by the way).
Pville29 Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 It's been great. I only hope that the goalie you got for me lets you get rid of that sourpuss Miller. I'll miss you all. I'm thinking about changing my name now. I think i'll go from Pville to VilleL. I'm sure Leino will step up his game now
X. Benedict Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 I hear the picks are two 1st but in 2015 so they're worthles (Just kidding by the way). Minny's 2nd round picks from 2014-2017......I'm kidding too.
Eleven Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 3 years? right now they arent anywhere near that. These kids have almost no NHL experience and stockpiling picks doesnt get you NHL players in 3 years. Yes i know they could flip them but this team is getting a whole lot worse pretty fast. Don't forget what's already in the system. And these kids will be 23 and 25 in 3 years. But what's certain is that the Sabres are looking at a slow, Pittsburgh-style turnaround and not a quick, Montreal-style turnaround.
nobody Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 You're probably going to love Hackett. :) Can he?
chileanseabass Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Darren R Pang @Panger4023s I really like Matt Hacketts game. Just a real solid fundamentally sound goalie. Keeps his glove in the right spot. Efficient, calm.
