LGR4GM Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 I already started the thread, merge please thxs chz... <_<
26CornerBlitz Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 This is something to note. There is no "official" confirmation so it could fall through. No broken faxes today...Please!
ParkMeadow Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 That's all they got? Basically a former 2nd and former 3rd picks. Not enough!
LTS Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 can't say I know anything about the players coming back. But having an additional goaltender who is on the Wild roster right now is interesting. Could there be something else coming? TSN says Larsson or Granlund was the Wild choice and they let Larsson go. 20 year old LW player? We'll see what they say.. I have no idea.
JJFIVEOH Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 There'd better be more to this than a goaltender and a center that can't score.
nucci Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 more salary dump....time to blow this thing up...... I think they already are.
wjag Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 It appears those two players are all we got for Pommers... a back-up goalie and a 2/3rd line centre..wooo? 5'10" center to boot..
spndnchz Posted April 3, 2013 Author Report Posted April 3, 2013 From Kris Baker: Johan Larsson: hard working C, excellent all-around skills, thick frame, really nice offensive upside.
shrader Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 It doesn't look like the Sabres got the 2d line center--ready to step in come October--that I wanted. I'm waiting to see confirmation of exactly everything received in return for Pommer before commenting further upon this trade. TSN does have it listed now. I bet they add in more pieces eventually.
BuffaloSoldier2010 Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Michael Russo @Russostrib 2m #mnwild has acquired Jason Pominville. Larsson and Hackett going the other way. Hear this trade could include high draft picks, too this was retweeted by WGR, and is the minnesota reporter mentioned above
Iron Crotch Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 It appears those two players are all we got for Pommers... a back-up goalie and a 2/3rd line centre..wooo? I like it. Both guys are about 10 years younger than Pommer. We shed a ton of salary. Turn the page on the "core" that has gotten us nowhere. Change the culture of the team (and the captaincy). Find a possible replacement for Miller (next to go?), and add a really good two-way center prospect. :)
papazoid Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 I think they already are. need more dynamite.....keep dumping.......hopefully Stafford next
chileanseabass Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Michael Russo @Russostrib4m #mnwild has acquired Jason Pominville. Larsson and Hackett going the other way. Hear this trade could include high draft picks, too
LGR4GM Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 If a 1st is not involved in this ....... grrrrrr
sabre snipe Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Eklind, I know, says a 1st and 2nd too. god let it be true
qwksndmonster Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Thanks for the memories, Pommer. Steve the Pirate now Captain of this ship?
Pville29 Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 hopefully Stafford next I say Miller is next.
EZBills7 Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Sad. Agree. Even if this was a "necessary" move for the team to improve long-term, Pominville was the kind of guy you want on your team. Sure, he wasn't a vocal leader or a tough guy, but guys who produce points and are defensively responsible don't grow on trees. I feel he was a victim of the fact that he had a minimal supporting cast the past several years and was expected to carry the team with a few others - he will do well for the Wild. So long Pommer.
waldo Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Pom makes it to the playoffs... Great News for Pom...
That Aud Smell Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 wait - so, a goalie? does this mean miller's next?
sicknfla Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Hackett is the key. Good bye Miller!! You don't trade for a goalie if you plan on resigning Miller.
wjag Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 So far, me no likey. Isn't Hackett dealing with a back injury this year or am I mixing up Wild goalies?
