Especially when you're no where near 140 characters

More about the speed than the space. Although it wouldn't hurt to make these autocorrect to the player's names in your phone that way you satisfy speed and are informative to those who might not know the numbers.

There is some luck involved, but basic line combos really aren't that hard.

Every good line should have:

A guy who can forecheck, create turnovers and recover pucks (Ott, Tropp, Foligno, Larsson, Girgensons),

A guy who reads plays and goes to the holes (Moulson, Flynn, Stafford)

A guy who wants the puck on his stick and can make plays (Grigorenko, Hodgson, Ennis, Leino)

Rahn tends to want to put similar players together all the time.

@BuffaloSabres

#Sabres trying new lines. Moulson-Hodgson-Ott. Girgensons-Foligno-Flynn. Leino-Ennis-Stafford. Grigorenko-McCormick-Tropp. Larsson rotating.

@BuffaloSabres

#Sabres D pairings at practice: Ehrhoff-Pysyk. Tallinder-Myers. Weber-Ristolainen. Zadorov-McBain.

So Ott back on the 1st line, Foligno still at center, Ennis back at center, Grigs still on the 4th line, and Larsson/Zadorov scratched? FFS :wallbash:

Nobody posted this, but it looks like Armia might be back up:

A lot of people on twitter seem to have missed that he was sent to Rochester about a week ago. He skated with them and the update said that he'd play somewhere towards the middle of the month (15th/16th). That would put him on schedule for this weekend's games against Toronto. I'd assume Larsson goes down to make room for him.

I hope stafford, scott and leino go down to make room for him. An off those 3 i'd rather keep scott.

With stamkos injured, lets waive leino or stafford, maybe tampa will get that desperate :D

It's like baking someone a cake, and when they complain that there's a turd on the cake you rearrange the candles and add some whipped cream.

Out of the mouths of babes.

One of the best ones I have ever heard was from a Rabbi friend of ours ... *there is someone in every crowd that will insist on throwing a turd into the punch bowl*.

McNabb, Myers (we'd get more than just the pick), Tallinder (doubt they'd take him), Weber, McBain, Rhuwedel, not sure which one of those they would want if any but that would be my list.

You've got to consider the fact that they are almost a lock to pick in the top five. Myers for the pick straight up. I'm willing to throw in McBain and/or a late rounder (4th or later) to make the move.

If they get a big stud defenceman, are they a lock anymore? With 60 games to go that is a long time to recover enough to scrape out of that juicy section. Drafts are always a bit lucky and at some point we need veterans on this team. Not to mention, if they stayed where they are, would help us to have half our top 6 as teenagers next year? (Z, Risto and Ekblad)

Myers maybe moves them from a top five pick to a top 10 pick. I'd still make that move straight up. Doubt Edmonton would.

Sekera would have moved the Sabres from a top 10 to a top five last year.

You are drastically underestimating Myers value.

The kid is on his way back.

Matthew Coller (WGR) says: It's Time: Sabres Should Call Up Adam, McNabb

According to Buffalo Sabres' interim head coach Ted Nolan, everyone has a clean slate.

That noise you hear is the sound of Luke Adam jumping up and down for joy.

The Sabres' major shakeup couldn't have come at a better time for the former second-round draft pick, who just happens to be setting the American Hockey League on fire this season.

Adam has 13 goals in 15 games. Not points. Goals. He's put 50 shots on net (3.33 per game) and is plus-5 while often seeing tough defensive minutes.

In other words, he's back.

The case for Brayden McNabb comes with far less dissension.

McNabb impressed Sabres' fans during a 20-game stint in 2011-12. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound defenseman. He was unimpressive at the beginning of last season, but came on strong and performed well enough to earn another call-up...except he suffered a knee injury at the end of the year.

So many have asked, what happened? The answer is: Nothing, really.

That's a really good reminder of how inexperienced this team is.

Look at Weber, Foligno and Hodgson, and they are considered among the vets.

In other news, interim Sabres coach Ted Nolan said defenseman Mike Weber (broken thumb) should return Tuesday against St. Louis, meaning a roster move must be made.

The Sabres could send one or two of their youngsters back to junior or the AHL.

Nolan has been talking with Pat LaFontaine, the new president of hockey operations, about moves. The Sabres have four teenagers on the roster.

“I didn’t realize how young they really were, the positions that they’re in and the capabilities of what they could do besides playing here,” said Nolan, who took over for Ron Rolston on Wednesday.

The Sabres could also recall some players from Rochester, he said.

“There’s a couple players playing exceptionally well down there that deserve an opportunity,” he said.

Nolan said he wants to stop “force-feeding.”

“Everything subject for change right now,” he said.
