ubkev Posted September 9, 2021 Report Posted September 9, 2021 Neighbor's rooster is a poor cockfighter. He pecked at one of my dogs along the fence line and my boy showed him what time it was real *****in quick. They have until Monday to get rid of both hens and the rooster or it's a $1000 fine per animal per day. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted September 10, 2021 Report Posted September 10, 2021 (edited) They got the brooms out in the Bronx yesterday. Best result possible for the Jays, except the Sox beat the Rays on Sunday. 1/2 game out to the Yankees with a game in hand. 1.5 games back of the Sox, with 3 in hand. The Jays are in control of their own destiny. Edited September 10, 2021 by New Scotland (NS) more goodly typing ... 2 1 1 Quote

Thorner Posted September 10, 2021 Report Posted September 10, 2021 Pretty remarkable season for the Jays no matter how it goes down - having to call 3 separate ball parks your Home through the course of a single season is certainly a unique challenge 1 Quote
Thorner Posted September 10, 2021 Report Posted September 10, 2021 (edited) The Jays have actually had a rather "unlucky"' season, too - looking at run differential The two teams directly ahead of the Jays for the wildcard, and the team directly below, run differential: Red Sox - +53 Yankees - +34 Oakland - +59 Blue Jays - +145 Jays have the 5th best run differential in the MLB - Their "expected" win/loss record is 84-55 (currently in actuality 77-62) Edited September 10, 2021 by Thorny 1 Quote

Hoss Posted September 11, 2021 Report Posted September 11, 2021 Not a great time for Robbie Ray to get smacked if he’s trying to win the Cy Young. Gave up 8 hits and 3 runs to a bad Orioles team. Going to be an interesting finish to that race. Feels like Gerrit Cole probably still leads because he’s a Yankee and that carries wait for some stupid reason. Lance Lynn could also take it - he just returned from the IL. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted September 11, 2021 Report Posted September 11, 2021 Ray didn’t have it tonight. It happens. The good news is that both the Yankees and Red Sox lost too. 1 Quote

Sabres Fan in NS Posted September 12, 2021 Report Posted September 12, 2021 As of right this very minute the Jays are in the second WC position. And I’m not talking about this WC 🚽 They took 2 from Baltimore. Both the Yankees and Red Sox won. The Yankees actually have a game in hand now and the Jays have 2 on the dastardly Sox. Quote

Thorner Posted September 12, 2021 Report Posted September 12, 2021 Jays now sit 2nd in AL East. Vladdy tied Ohtani for home runs today and moved closer to that Triple Crown, too 1 Quote
Hoss Posted September 13, 2021 Report Posted September 13, 2021 Max Scherzer has been otherworldly with the Dodgers. In his eight starts the team is 8-0 (he sports a 6-0 record in those games). He has 72 strikeouts in those games (averaging 9 per game). He hasn’t given up an earned run in his last four starts and has 41 strikeouts in that span. He has just 5 walks in 8 starts which happens to be the same number of earned runs he’s given up total. 1 Quote
