Samson's Flow Posted October 17, 2017 Report Posted October 17, 2017 Eh, never got all the angst about that. To each their own Big game tonight. Really need to win this to avoid seeing Keuchel/Verlander in elimination games I know its more of a me thing, so nothing against you. That and I am especially sensitive to WNY Yankee love as a non Yankee fan. FTFY. You... Quote
WildCard Posted October 17, 2017 Report Posted October 17, 2017 FTFY. Go Yankees! I know its more of a me thing, so nothing against you. That and I am especially sensitive to WNY Yankee love as a non Yankee fan. You... No worries. I've noticed people don't like Yankee fans  Quote
ubkev Posted October 17, 2017 Report Posted October 17, 2017 Sonny Gray. Don't like him. Takes too long to throw the ball. I hate that. This game isn't looking good for the Yankees. Can't hit McCullers, as per usual. Quote

ubkev Posted October 18, 2017 Report Posted October 18, 2017 Yeah?? Damn, they're good at home. Quote
Eleven Posted October 18, 2017 Author Report Posted October 18, 2017 I feel like I deserve this. No one deserves this. The Asstros are what they are and are named appropriately, and they belong back in the NL. Yankees fans from WNY who think that NYC could possibly give a about WNY are out of their minds. No one deserves this. No one deserves the Dodgers, either. SIgh. Go Cubs. Quote

WildCard Posted October 18, 2017 Report Posted October 18, 2017 Where does this come from?I grew up a Yankees fan because they were on tv. I was a blue Jays fan, but they weren't on to watch. I have a bunch of buddies who were Braves fan back when Turner Broadcast Station would play Braves games, but hey don't anymore Quote
ubkev Posted October 18, 2017 Report Posted October 18, 2017 Where does this come from? Remember Groundhogs Day? When bill Murray gives the news cast about the cold, grey winter, might have been the third or fourth time reliving the day? That's where it comes from. Right here Quote
Randall Flagg Posted October 18, 2017 Report Posted October 18, 2017 WNY. I'm from there and am even a Yankees fan from there and that concept is foreign to me Like WC, blame DTV for only having YES Network. If we had gotten Pirates games or BJs games I'd have been a fan of one of those teams  Quote
Sabel79 Posted October 18, 2017 Report Posted October 18, 2017 Where does this come from? WNY. Dude is a disgruntled Expos fan... Quote
thenow76 Posted October 18, 2017 Report Posted October 18, 2017 Holy ######, we did it. We beat the Indians I can't take credit for this, as I read it on another site somewhere, but I thought this was an interesting historical anecdote worth mentioning: The 2017 Yankees are the first team in mlb history to win 4 games in a 5 game series. I'm confused. They won 1 game in a one game series, and 3 games in a 5 game series Quote
thenow76 Posted October 18, 2017 Report Posted October 18, 2017 Sans Girardi's gaffe, they won (or would have more than likely won) game 2 ... then they won game 3 ... then game 4 ... then game 5... that's some good solid baseball analysis, imo :P Quote
WildCard Posted October 19, 2017 Report Posted October 19, 2017 Good win tonight. Closing out in Houston is going to be hard though. Think Verlander comes up big and wins game 6 Quote

WildCard Posted October 20, 2017 Report Posted October 20, 2017 Dusty Baker out as Nats manager Quote
Eleven Posted October 20, 2017 Author Report Posted October 20, 2017 Dusty Baker out as Nats manager Yep! Quote
Samson's Flow Posted October 20, 2017 Report Posted October 20, 2017 Dusty Baker out as Nats manager Well alright then. Probably well deserved given the talent on the Nats and the odd managerial decisions. Quote
Samson's Flow Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 Morton early on was impressive. The advanced analytics indicated he was highly unlucky the first few starts. McCullers looks unhittable right now. Don't even need a closer tonight. Go Astros  Quote
JujuFish Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 Ahhh, all is right with the world again. Quote
Eleven Posted October 22, 2017 Author Report Posted October 22, 2017 Two teams I absolutely loathe. I won't be watching. Quote
Taro T Posted October 22, 2017 Report Posted October 22, 2017 Two teams I absolutely loathe. I won't be watching. This'lll be the 2nd time they met in the playoffs, right? By rights, Cincinnati should be champs. Quote
