ubkev Posted May 13, 2016 Report Posted May 13, 2016 I won't begin to pretend to be an NBA expert. But I'll take GS in 6 over OKC. And then GS in 5 over LeBron. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted May 14, 2016 Report Posted May 14, 2016 Another game 7 for the dinos. I think they will beat the heat and then give the Cavs a real run, especially if they get the big man back. Quote
Eleven Posted May 15, 2016 Author Report Posted May 15, 2016 Love the result. Not going to be a championship season, but I think I'd root for the USSR against a team from Miami. Quote
WildCard Posted May 16, 2016 Report Posted May 16, 2016 (edited) Some of you may remember when the Rangers played the Jays in the playoffs last season that in game 5 Joey Bats hit a huge home run late in the game and made a very in-your-face showing of it with a huge bat flip This: Well today, in what I believe is the last game these teams will play in the regular season, the Rangers made sure to remind Bautista that they didn't forget that bat flip. So naturally they hit him with a pitch. Over, right? Well, not exactly. Bautista slides hard into 2nd, and a brawl ensues. Bautista gets hit with a right that would make Tyson proud; probably the best punch ever thrown in baseball. Go to the 2:00 mark to see the punch Edited May 16, 2016 by WildCard Quote
ubkev Posted May 16, 2016 Report Posted May 16, 2016 (edited) I remember Kyle Farnsworth plunking a batter about 10 years ago. Said batter decided to charge the mound. Bad idea. Farnsworth proceeds to channel his inner Bill Goldberg. He spears the batter and begins pummeling his face. It was sweet. Ha! Found it! He didn't even hit the batter. TrueBlueGED Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 I know Toronto doesn't really care about basketball, but watching the Raptors get their...stuff...pushed in, is bringing me great pleasure. Quote
ubkev Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 I know Toronto doesn't really care about basketball, but watching the Raptors get their...stuff...pushed in, is bringing me great pleasure. ESPN is sure pretending that Canada cares about basketball. They're really pushing the "no Canadian teams in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, so Canada must love the Raptors more than anything in the world" agenda. Quote
Sabres Fan in NS Posted May 18, 2016 Report Posted May 18, 2016 A Canadian invented basketball and we gave the world Steve Nash, so we care somewhat about the sport. That said, Toronto fans, of any sport, are the worst in the world. When the Jays and Raptors do well the buildings are filled to overflowing. The Leaves building is always filled, as it has been for 25+ years, with corporate suit types. The Argos, well what can I say, no one really cares about them. The most loyal fans in the city are TFC fans, which is due, in large part, to the high European immigrant population that swelled the city in the 60's and 70's. At a TFC match you would swear you are at a match in Liverpool, if you didn't know better. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted May 19, 2016 Report Posted May 19, 2016 (edited) Steph Curry is a one man run. I think he just out-scored the Thunder 12-0 in the last 30 seconds. If the NBA were run like the NHL, they'd eliminate the 3 point shot tomorrow for being too much fun. Edited May 19, 2016 by TrueBlueGED Quote
Eleven Posted May 19, 2016 Author Report Posted May 19, 2016 Steph Curry is a one man run. I think he just out-scored the Thunder 12-0 in the last 30 seconds. If the NBA were run like the NHL, they'd eliminate the 3 point shot tomorrow for being too much fun. Well, first, they'd let some OKC third-stringer eliminate Curry from playing basketball for six months and then suspend said third-stringer for three games. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted May 23, 2016 Report Posted May 23, 2016 The Warriors are getting run out of the building, currently down 31 in the 3rd quarter, and it still feels like they can come back. I don't think they will, but would anybody be particularly surprised if they did? Quote

Sabres Fan in NS Posted May 23, 2016 Report Posted May 23, 2016 Against any other team, maybe. OKC is legit. Hope they keep winning. Imagine if they pull this off and win the whole shebang this year. Won it by going through San Antonio (67 wins) then GS (73 wins) and then, probably, Cleveland who is the beast of the east. Quote

Sabres Fan in NS Posted May 24, 2016 Report Posted May 24, 2016 The Cavs looked wretched, or as the kids say ratchet, tonight. I'm glad. Not really a span of the sport, or the Raptors in general, but I do not like Lebron James. GO RAPTORS GO!! Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 I can't believe OKC is running over the Warriors again. I never would have predicted it, but it's not insane to think OKC could beat Golden State a few times...but to blow them out twice in a row (if tonight's first half holds)? Never, ever, thought that would happen. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 I mean... Steph is currently shooting like I do. Quote
WildCard Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 Steph is currently shooting like I do.Yeah it's ugly. They may have the best regular season record of all time, but I bet those Bulls wreck them, and maybe some other teams too Quote
ubkev Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 Alright, I just turned it on. Steph always plays like dookie when I watch. Let's see if it holds true. Yeah it's ugly. They may have the best regular season record of all time, but I bet those Bulls wreck them, and maybe some other teams too Of course they would. It was a much different league back then. The physical play back then......these players couldn't even imagine. Oh and..... the Bulls! Quote

TrueBlueGED Posted May 25, 2016 Report Posted May 25, 2016 But if he turns it around, I'll know I'm off the hook. Well Kerr just threw in the towel and pulled his starters, so no such luck. Quote
