Stoner Posted September 17, 2014 Report Posted September 17, 2014 Are they going to finish on time? If this doesn't bring Ghost out of retirement, nothing will. Quote
Eleven Posted September 17, 2014 Report Posted September 17, 2014 (edited) Are they going to finish on time? Per a quality source: sports bar is on track to open on time in late October. Seating for ~350; standing room for ~300 more. That is one big sports bar. Edited September 17, 2014 by Eleven Quote
LabattBlue Posted September 17, 2014 Report Posted September 17, 2014 Are they going to finish on time? I thought I read that none of it(rinks, parking, tim's & 716) will be ready until late October. Quote
LabattBlue Posted October 9, 2014 Report Posted October 9, 2014 Just curious...does anyone know if the Marriott, Tim Horton's and 716 will be owned and operated by the Sabres(Pegula)? Quote
spndnchz Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 First game on the new rink is Oct 31st Quote
sabills Posted October 15, 2014 Author Report Posted October 15, 2014 Heard the grand opening is November 6th. Quote

Harborcenter operates the bar and restaurant in there. Some company of a company that use to work with TPegs manages the Marriott. (My post in these pages somewhere exactly who). I figure Timmy Ho's is run by Timmy Ho's. Just saw the doorhandles on the restaurant are steel hockey sticks. Cool. Quote

spndnchz Posted October 15, 2014 Report Posted October 15, 2014 CW did a good video of it a few weeks ago... http://cw23.com/2014/10/07/harborcenter-near-complete/ Quote
I am Defecting Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 It's all coming together nicely. I'd just love to see a pedestrian bridge built across the river to the Outer Harbor parks and beaches. Apparently there's money set aside for this project, but Robert Gioia of Erie Canal Harbor Development Project, eriecanalharbor@esd.ny.gov, has been fighting for the money to be set aside for parking facilities near Canalside. It would such bliss to be able to walk straight over on a bridge. Quote

Well, until you get the bridge, at least this is happening: http://buffalorising.com/2014/10/canalside-bicycle-and-pedestrian-ferry-is-a-go/ Quote

Stoner Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 The coffee is the main product, but yes Can a Photoshop pro (maybe Sizzle or Jo) put Terry on Juan Valdez's dunkey? Quote
inkman Posted October 16, 2014 Report Posted October 16, 2014 Can a Photoshop pro (maybe Sizzle or Jo) put Terry on Juan Valdez's dunkey? Why dunkey? Is that another pennsyltucky thing? I know I've heard it pronounced that way but didn't make the Penn connection. Quote

beerme1 Posted October 17, 2014 Report Posted October 17, 2014 The coffee is the main product, but yes Correct. Because the donuts are crap. Some of the other chit is pretty good though but it is ALL about the coffee. Quote

Eleven Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 Hockey starts this week, Canisius v. Ohio State. Soft openings for (716) Food and Sport until Nov. 7, when it opens to the public. I'm a little bummed about that last part. I have tickets to the 11/2 afternoon game, and it would have been perfect to park my ass on a stool to watch the 1pm football games while having lunch, and then walk into the Arena. Quote
Stoner Posted October 27, 2014 Report Posted October 27, 2014 Why is this (OT)? I mean, it's said to be a key component of the strategy to make Buffalo a destination for NHL free agents. Quote

Someone complained at some point in the thread, so I changed it. You might also be using sarcasm here, but my robot processor is unable to detect it at this point in development. Quote

At the very least some STHs( no I am not one) should be invited to one of the soft openings Quote
