X. Benedict Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Drew Schiestel POW! (old school Batman sound effect).
sabres13 Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Wow they resigned him. He spent last year playing for he Texas stars as a loaner. I guess buffalo has decide the only way to win a cup is with d-men.
LastPommerFan Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 More D-men...Angry Eleven is gonna cry.
darksabre Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 More D-men...Angry Eleven is gonna cry. I just hope he doesn't dye his hair red.
spndnchz Posted July 25, 2012 Author Report Posted July 25, 2012 Somebody has to get traded. They're over their 50 contracts.

I guess buffalo has decide the only way to win a cup is with d-men. Not to bring facts into the discussion, but... 1 - Scheistel only played 16 games in Texas. He spent the majority of the season with Rochester. 2 - He is only 23 years old. 3 - Before running into injury problems, his path to the NHL was on the fast track. 4 - It is re-signed. Not resigned. Sorry just a pet peeve of mine. ;)
Iron Crotch Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Drew Schiestel Don't German people yell "Schiestel" when they're really angry?
Eleven Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 More D-men...Angry Eleven is gonna cry. Nah. This doesn't prevent them from doing what they should be doing, and it may even help.
shrader Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Somebody has to get traded. They're over their 50 contracts. Is this before or after getting new deals in place for the remaining RFAs?
spndnchz Posted July 25, 2012 Author Report Posted July 25, 2012 Accepted his qualifying offer? Yup $577,500 two way deal.
LastPommerFan Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Nah. This doesn't prevent them from doing what they should be doing, and it may even help. I'm glad your shrink finally got the doses right ;)
spndnchz Posted July 25, 2012 Author Report Posted July 25, 2012 Is this before or after getting new deals in place for the remaining RFAs? 50 after Kaleta and Ennis. With Biega, Turnbull, Whitmore and Stuart still up in the air. Oreo and Gus included.
shrader Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 50 after Kaleta and Ennis. With Biega, Turnbull, Whitmore and Stuart still up in the air. Oreo and Gus included. Biega's the only RFA of that group. The rest are as good as gone.
dEnnis the Menace Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 What's the point of this move? to sign any and all defensemen regardless of skill level before Philly has a chance to!
RazielSabre Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Trade piece or is Darcy hoarding? Or the AHL vet the Amerks have been after? Lol. Oh dear.
LaLaLaFontaine Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 Don't German people yell "Schiestel" when they're really angry? No they don't, never heard this word.
dudacek Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 What's the point of this move? Hang on to a prospect that a year ago looked like he had NHL potential? Contracts only become an issue if Girgs and Grigs make it, right? And we all know there is a Dman trade coming.
TrueBlueGED Posted July 25, 2012 Report Posted July 25, 2012 What's the point of this move? To sooth the nightmares of 2005? I'm fine with the move, since almost by default there has to be a trade coming, even if it's just a minor depth trade or two. There will be some kind of player movement
spndnchz Posted July 25, 2012 Author Report Posted July 25, 2012 Trade piece or is Darcy hoarding? Or the AHL vet the Amerks have been after? Lol. Oh dear. I'm counting 10 dmen signed and that includes McNabb, Pardy, Sulzer, Brennan, Pysyk and Leduc. Two of those make the club to have the Sabres squad at 7 dmen. So you've got 8 dmen for Amerks. That's not a WHOLE lot.
