sabills Posted June 19, 2018 Report Posted June 19, 2018 Its not as big an upset as Mexico over Germany, but Japan over Columbia is a big bite into Columbia's chances to advance.
GoPre Posted June 19, 2018 Report Posted June 19, 2018 (27) Senegal is ahead of (8) Poland late in the 1st half 1-0.
sabills Posted June 19, 2018 Report Posted June 19, 2018 (27) Senegal is ahead of (8) Poland late in the 1st half 1-0. Going to try to catch the second half of this on lunch.
Huckleberry Posted June 19, 2018 Report Posted June 19, 2018 Going to try to catch the second half of this on lunch. Boring 1st half, wouldn't bother :p
Sabel79 Posted June 19, 2018 Report Posted June 19, 2018 Hoo boy Poland.... Melting down yet again...
sabills Posted June 19, 2018 Report Posted June 19, 2018 Boring 1st half, wouldn't bother :P Made it, and found one other guy in Mes Que rooting for Senegal, haha.
Sabres Fan in NS Posted June 19, 2018 Author Report Posted June 19, 2018 Senegal is now up 2-0 w/ 27 min to play My best friend is from West Africa and has family / friends in Senegal. He is there now. He must be loving this.
sabills Posted June 21, 2018 Report Posted June 21, 2018 These 11AM games are working well for me. I work close to Mes Que now so I can get over there around minute 47-50 and catch the rest of the second half. The games the last couple days haven't been any great shakes, but France/Peru today should be good.
Eleven Posted June 21, 2018 Report Posted June 21, 2018 Iceland at 11am tomorrow. There's a sports bar across the street from work. The food isn't excellent, but I don't want to miss that game.
sabills Posted June 21, 2018 Report Posted June 21, 2018 Iceland at 11am tomorrow. There's a sports bar across the street from work. The food isn't excellent, but I don't want to miss that game. Yup, that's the one I'm pumped for as well.
Winston Posted June 21, 2018 Report Posted June 21, 2018 We got a new 65" tv for the office. Conveniently, it was delivered just in time for March Madness. It has since proven handy for movie trailers, the US Open, the World Cup.... Oh, and the occasional work meeting :P I think I am rooting for England. I admittedly don't follow soccer enough at any level. But my brother-in-law is a big Tottenham fan, so I watch a handful of their games. And England's roster is chock-full of Spurs. So, root for the guys you know, I suppose. Iceland is a neat story too.

Eleven Posted June 21, 2018 Report Posted June 21, 2018 Good luck. Based on your prior report, though, I fear you're in for a bit of a let down. It won't be the same experience as watching it in Reykjavik, that's for sure.
That Aud Smell Posted June 21, 2018 Report Posted June 21, 2018 It won't be the same experience as watching it in Reykjavik, that's for sure. Here’s to fond reminiscing then.
Sabel79 Posted June 21, 2018 Report Posted June 21, 2018 Argentina has to have the highest percentage of punchable faces out of any team in world football. Well, Spurs, but Argentina wins the national team award, with England the closest behind them. I'm pleased to be able to share my tactical analysis with the board.
That Aud Smell Posted June 21, 2018 Report Posted June 21, 2018 ^ quite so. even so - i am pulling for messi. D'OH!! Down 1-0.
sabills Posted June 21, 2018 Report Posted June 21, 2018 If Argentina lose this today Iceland can move forward with a win against Nigeria tomorrow.
sabills Posted June 21, 2018 Report Posted June 21, 2018 If they lose this today "caballero" may become a curse word in Argentina. If they lose this today Messi might actually quit the national team for good.
Sabres Fan in NS Posted June 21, 2018 Author Report Posted June 21, 2018 That'll do it... 2-0 Croatia. LUKA!!
