Sabres Fan in NS Posted August 23, 2014 Author Report Posted August 23, 2014 I don't know how much Hanks knows about football, but at least he knows it should be played on grass ... http://www.cbc.ca/sports/soccer/tom-hanks-joins-women-s-world-cup-grass-debate-1.2744277 And, of course, Blatter is being an idiot. Imagine the future of FIFA major tournaments is in artificial turf. Is nothing sacred?
Sabres Fan in NS Posted August 28, 2014 Author Report Posted August 28, 2014 With this dud (not a typo) as captain, England may not win another International match for some time ... http://www.cbc.ca/sports/soccer/wayne-rooney-named-england-captain-1.2749167 And just for kicks and giggles ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E16ti4m7D_A
Huckleberry Posted August 29, 2014 Report Posted August 29, 2014 I don't know how much Hanks knows about football, but at least he knows it should be played on grass ... http://www.cbc.ca/sp...ebate-1.2744277 And, of course, Blatter is being an idiot. Imagine the future of FIFA major tournaments is in artificial turf. Is nothing sacred? I agree, There is nothing like playing on real grass. I see these artificial turfs popping everywhere, and simply put they suck.
Sabres Fan in NS Posted August 30, 2014 Author Report Posted August 30, 2014 Seriously Everton? Six goals against? 6 - 3 ... Looks like a score from a Bills game.
Huckleberry Posted August 31, 2014 Report Posted August 31, 2014 Yeah nice goals to, all well finished, goalies couldn't do a thing about those.
Hank Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 Watched a Barcelona game for the first time. Holy ###### they are good.
Huckleberry Posted September 1, 2014 Report Posted September 1, 2014 Watched a Barcelona game for the first time. Holy ###### they are good. Yeah i can't respect that team much though, debt of 800 million euro , same goes for Real madrid. And both had similar debts basically swiped away by the state. ( If they are really unlucky Europe will make them give it all back to) wich i hope ;D
Sabres Fan in NS Posted September 6, 2014 Author Report Posted September 6, 2014 Euro 2016 qualifiers start this weekend ... http://www.uefa.com/MultimediaFiles/Download/competitions/Draws/02/06/14/61/2061461_DOWNLOAD.pdf Oh, and FIFA has been given a report that sights 3 separate and distinct cases of corruption in the bidding process for WC 2018 and WC 2022. No kidding. Don't worry it will all be swept under the carpet. Also, noticed that Platini will not be running against Sepp for FIFA don. No kidding. Just bidding his time.
Huckleberry Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 ah yeah bosnia is in our group, our game against Israel got postponed though. Really ticks me off that Israel even is in the european system, its not part of europe, and forcing them in the asian zone would atleast make them get along better with the arabs :P
Eleven Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 ah yeah bosnia is in our group, our game against Israel got postponed though. Really ticks me off that Israel even is in the european system, its not part of europe, and forcing them in the asian zone would atleast make them get along better with the arabs :P There are a couple of other Asian teams in UEFA; never made sense to me. Turkey? Kazakhstan? Not in Europe.
Huckleberry Posted September 9, 2014 Report Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) Actually turkey is partially in Europe, kazakhstan to. Here is a map on wikipedia wich seems quite accurate. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europe lol but apparently cyprus is not, bosnia should go and complain after losing today :D The ural river seen as the cut off point between Asia and Europe. Yeah, I know that each of those countries has a tiny European bit. But if I dip my toe in the water, I'm still dry, you know?
chileanseabass Posted September 10, 2014 Report Posted September 10, 2014 So Turkey lost to Iceland 3-0. Wouldn't they rather play in Asia? I would imagine it'd be easier to qualify for the World Cup.
sabills Posted September 13, 2014 Report Posted September 13, 2014 That curl by Lukaku. Pretty. There are a couple of other Asian teams in UEFA; never made sense to me. Turkey? Kazakhstan? Not in Europe. Turkey I'll buy; they've been Europeanish since the Roman Empire. Kazakhstan though...?Maybe because they were part of the USSR, but that place is Asia all the way.

Two or less Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Falcao, Rojo and Blind make their United debuts in a few hours.... :)
DR HOLLIDAY Posted September 14, 2014 Report Posted September 14, 2014 Diego Costa is amazing. AMAZING. He played like garbage for Spain in the WC
Two or less Posted September 15, 2014 Report Posted September 15, 2014 He played like garbage for Spain in the WC So did their entire team.
Sabres Fan in NS Posted September 21, 2014 Author Report Posted September 21, 2014 (edited) A late goal to earn the draw is a good result for Man City against Chelsea ... http://stats.cbc.ca/...130200006589508 Although, City was home for this match. City started slowly last season, if I recall correctly, and we all know how the EPL table ended up at the end ... :flirt: Edited September 21, 2014 by Sabres Fan In NS
