Sabres Trade busted up Roy for Ott and Pardy

That sounds like a piss poor offensive team to me. Hodgson is a total wild card, Ennis showed he can be a real good number 2 center but isn't proven, Ott is Gaustad and Mccormick is a guy who'll drop the gloves every three games but that's it. So where's the beef? (Beef equaling offense haha).

A rookie who scored 19 goals is somewhat of a wildcard, but he also has a lot of potential. I think Hodgson gets 25 plus goals this year.

Well thats rebuilt our bottom 2 lines as follows for me:

Leino-Ott-Kaleta(RFA)

Gerbe/Ellis-McCormick-Scott

Pending further moves, am I about right?

I'm happy with Ennis and Hodgson for top 2 lines C atm I have to say.

i dont think Scott plays regularly

We could get bobby Ryan and people would bitch. We have Hodgson, Ennis, ott, Adam, and grigs. This is the best trade ever for Roy. He is going to crumble in the west. We got a guy who is 55% on face offs, 5th in the league with 276 hits, 40 Pts and 156 penalty mins. Geeee I think Darcy messed up, NOT. Thanks DR sooo much excellent trade

If it weren't for it being an awful lot of LW's on the 3rd line, I'd more expect it to be Gerbe on the 3rd line w/ Kaleta on the 4th.

Right now, this is how I'd see the lines:

Grigorenko - Hodgson - Vanek

Foligno - Ennis - Stafford

Leino - Ott - Pominville

Gerbe - McCormick - Kaleta

You expect our leading scorer and captain on our third line? a natural LW to play RW with 2 centres? I really don't like those lines, no offense.

I stick with what I said earlier — this trade has been done for a while, Darcy was just waiting for another shoe to drop.

Now let's see what that shoe was. Might be a simple as we aren't getting Ryan for Roy-plus, so Roy was no longer needed.

Unless this is clearing salary for a bigger move, I'm officially not happy.

Roy for Ott seems to reduce scoring, not improving it.

Sorry to be that guy but what can we offer the Ducks now? I thought Roy would be the figure piece for a trade for Ryan.

Ducks didn't want Roy they want someone like Ennis or Mcnabb and a pick. Roy would have been a throw in for a draft pick or a Rochester player.

Hodgson. I'm thinking this is who they have wanted all along.

This was a good trade for Buffalo. Regier got exactly what this team needed, a gritty, sandpaper, tough type player who bangs and pots the puck for 15 to 20 goals.

This won't affect any deal for Ryan (if there is a deal). Roy had 1 year remaining on his contract, I can't see him being a big piece in that type of deal.

Love to see Gerbe in that line-up (HaHa!!!!!). At least Dumb Ass Ruff won't be able to have him play on that stud center Roy's wing any more. At some point we could see him with Ennis. Now, that is a scary thought. Shortest and lightest playrer in the NHl on the same line, much less in the same line-up. Did people watch the playoffs the last two years?
