LGR4GM Posted March 13, 2013 Author Report Posted March 13, 2013 (edited) If anyone cares Sly is talking to a friend of Rick Martin's right now. Seems strange he has been gone for 2 years... Edited March 13, 2013 by LGR4GM Quote
nobody Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 Andrew Peters will now be doing all 5 days of the KS show. So that is a small Sabres related positive. Quote

nobody Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 Two homer apologists....Yay! But it means less time for KS to speak. :) Quote

Stoner Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 Didn't Nostradamus predict that before the fiery end times Sabre fans would consider Andrew Peters going to five days one of the highlights of the season? Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 Is he the hockey equivalent of locusts? Quote
Stoner Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 Is he the hockey equivalent of locusts? I'm thinking more along the lines of the Anti Christ. Quote
IKnowPhysics Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 Surely a title reserved for Gary Bettman. Quote
Hawerchuk Posted March 18, 2013 Report Posted March 18, 2013 I really like Hockey Hotline. I try to listen to it on my way into work. I'm in Vegas, so basically, nobody talks hockey. Notice I said, "Try" to listen because my WGR either crashes or goes out constantly that it's becoming unbearable. Does anybody else have this problem with the app? I frustrates me to no end, so I haven't tuned in lately. Quote

LGR4GM Posted March 27, 2013 Author Report Posted March 27, 2013 This is interesting, Peters is arguing that RR is wrong about benching Drew and thinks that benching is having a negative effect on the team. He is arguing that Drew being benched makes players who are his friends and such question coaching. Quote

He is arguing that Drew being benched makes players who are his friends and such question coaching. That's kind of how it's sounding, but Peters is trying to walk that back a little. Regardless, Peters is definitely throwing Rolston under the bus. Amazing that he's blaming the coach for last night...Peters isn't too far removed from a NHL locker room not to have some valid insight about what goes on in there. If he's blaming the coach, then what are the players thinking? He is still friends with NHLers...even some Sabres. Edited March 27, 2013 by sizzlemeister Quote

LGR4GM Posted March 27, 2013 Author Report Posted March 27, 2013 I think the issue with the argument is that if you put in Drew and have the say result then the argument is why did you bench X, he would have been better than Drew. Its hindsight and it is 50/50, I think either way the team still comes out flat and sucks. Quote
... Posted March 27, 2013 Report Posted March 27, 2013 (edited) Right. He seems to be hanging onto the point that if Stafford played the dynamic on the ice would have been different. Who can blame the callers for not buying it? As an aside, he was as critical of Hecht's presence as I was. :P Edited March 27, 2013 by sizzlemeister Quote
nobody Posted March 27, 2013 Report Posted March 27, 2013 Of course Peters is thinking that the Sabres are going to get that 30 goal version of Stafford that we seldom see. You know it is a bad day when Sylvester sounds like the sane one. Quote
TrueBlueGED Posted March 27, 2013 Report Posted March 27, 2013 Peters also used to expound the value of Matt Ellis on a daily basis, so yea..... Quote
spndnchz Posted March 27, 2013 Report Posted March 27, 2013 Peters also used to expound the value of Matt Ellis on a daily basis, so yea..... Peters doomed the Sabres from day one because he ran training camp. Quote
LabattBlue Posted March 27, 2013 Report Posted March 27, 2013 Peters is a complete moron. A few weeks back he challenged a caller to come down and fight. How is he rewarded...he gets the gig 5 days a week. Quote
