Robviously Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 It's Grigs. No hesitation from the Sabres either. That was a quick pick.
Trettioåtta Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 Hopefully this gamble will pay off - not sure is his attitude will help and he had a bad playoffs :s
frissonic Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 here we go .... EDIT: DAMMIT! i'm lagged by at least 2 minutes. what the hell?! oh well. that's great!
TrueBlueGED Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 Hopefully this gamble will pay off - not sure is his attitude will help and he had a bad playoffs :s He was recovering from mono and had 10 points in 11 games. Is that really bad?
Eleven Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 some of you are about 3 minutes ahead of everything. At this spot, Grig was the take.
Iron Crotch Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 I give T-Pegs credit for this one. Darcy on his own would never have the ball to take Grigorenko. ...looking at who is left on the board, plenty of big centers available at 21 potentially. Why not draft two of them?

Trettioåtta Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 Subban at the 21st pick? Just a thought...

Girgensons or Faksa would be great at 21 if they're around. Or Hertl for that matter.
Eleven Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 Last time the Sabres took a Russian in the first?
wjag Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 Subban at the 21st pick? Just a thought... Love that idea..

Totally agree with you on the bold part. I think this was Pegs and Black saying "We'll make sure he signs and we'll take the risk for the upside." Actually totally agree on the non-bold part too. If Gaunce is there at 21, I'm VERY interested. I'd also be thrilled to get Samuelsson there.
bunomatic Posted June 23, 2012 Report Posted June 23, 2012 He was recovering from mono and had 10 points in 11 games. Is that really bad? Was it not a high ankle sprain ? Doesn't matter but I thought MacKenzie said that. Either way he was hurtin.
