spndnchz Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 Kind of funny actually http://www.courthousenews.com/2012/05/29/Penguins.pdf
wjag Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 It's about time someone took it to these spammers...
biodork Posted May 29, 2012 Report Posted May 29, 2012 Haha - sounds like a fan still bitter about their early playoff exit!
darksabre Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 How dare they send me text messages on a list I voluntarily signed up for! I get that they violated their own policy, but really, was a lawsuit necessary? Dude couldn't just remove himself from the list as soon as he realized (within the first week of subscription) that he was going to receive more than 3 messages per week? Only in America.
LastPommerFan Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 how much you want to be the first 2 messages were the "are you sure?" and "confirmed" messages from the signup process?
87168 Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 Typical. Not to mention it's pretty easy to unsubscribe to these text message. It's the shady TV joke-of-the-day/horoscope type ones that need to be rid of.
frissonic Posted May 30, 2012 Report Posted May 30, 2012 if i'm reading the document correctly, the penguins sent a total of 3 extra texts over 2 weeks: two extra during the plaintiff's first week, and one the second week. and the plaintiff is seeking "punitive damages"? if i'm the penguins, i send the guy a check for 30 cents, along with a picture of the whole team, management, executives, and office staff, flipping off this lazy-ass piece of s***. what a doosh.
