Sabres Fan in NS Posted May 1, 2017 Report Posted May 1, 2017 The Clash at the Exhibition Stadium in Toronto ( ... worst concert venue ever) 35 years ago this summer. Would love a do-over and I remember it as if it were yesterday. Actually, I remember it more vividly than I remember yesterday. Quote
Sabre fan Posted May 1, 2017 Report Posted May 1, 2017 Tomorrow night in Chapel Hill, NC a little band from Halifax, NS will be playing at an intimate venue (<200 capacity). Sloan. I'm way too old to be going out on a school night for these shows anymore, but I haven't seen them live since the late 90's... so off I'll go...... and suffer for it on Thursday. funny you should be going to see Sloan...I took my wife and two sons (21 and 19 years old) last Thursday to see who are called the TransCanada Highwaymen... they consist of Chris Murphy lead singer of Sloan, Steven Page, the great voice from Barenaked Ladies, Moe berg from Pursuit Of Happiness )She's So Young and I'm An Adult Now) and Craig Northey from the awesome and underrated Odds (make You Made, It Falls Apart). Great show and highly recommended also going to see Carlos Santana, Foreigner, Burton Cummings band, ZZ Top and the Australian Pink Floyd Show at Casino Rama this summer. should be GREAT!!! Quote

Iron Crotch Posted May 5, 2017 Report Posted May 5, 2017 Saw Gojira and Opeth last night. First time seeing Opeth live. Really, really good. Opeth is one of only bands I can think of that legitimately defies labels and genres. Quote
sabills Posted May 16, 2017 Report Posted May 16, 2017 Going to see these guys on Thursday: Friend had an extra ticket and I know nothing about them besides the stuff I've listened to the last couple days. They're good, I need more punk in my life. Quote

PromoTheRobot Posted June 6, 2017 Report Posted June 6, 2017 (edited) Got to see Jean Michel Jarre a few weeks ago. Only his second US show ever, and his first one since 1986. Only about 1,500 came out to see him in Boston. This for a guy who holds the Guinness record for largest concert crowd for a single performer, over 1 million. Also saw Midnight Oil (great) and will see KMFDM in October in a small club. Edited June 6, 2017 by PromoTheRobot Quote

TheAud Posted January 22, 2018 Report Posted January 22, 2018 Restarting this thread in case anyone is interested as summer concert announcement season is finally upon us. July is really shaping up for me! Acquired tix to James Taylor/Bonnie Raitt in Buffalo on 7/1 and Tedeschi Trucks Band 7/10 in Canandaigua. I'm pretty pumped, actually. Who else is lining up their summer concert schedule now? Quote
ubkev Posted January 22, 2018 Report Posted January 22, 2018 I'd go to that show just to hear Bonnie Raitt do Angel From Montgomery. Quote

Not in love w/ the line-up, but timing works and the whole experience should be pretty cool. Quote
sabills Posted January 22, 2018 Report Posted January 22, 2018 Man do I want to go see Jack White at Artpark, but the tickets are like 110 bucks, and while its worth it I don't think I can swing it. Tedeschi Trucks are playing up there, too, so that Might happen. Quote
