That Ozzfest was awesome. Disturbed was great, but System was the best for me. Plus you got to see a bunch of metalheads swear at Avenged Sevenfold, which was great.

Somehow I missed this post. Never forget the drugged out guy we had to carry to security after fat rednecks sat on him.

You are not the only metal head here for sure.

I saw Disturbed in '06 at Ozzfest. One of the best live performances I have ever seen. Draiman's voice is unreal. Pure power.

I saw Disturbed over the summer, they put on an awesome show!

Next show I'm planning on going to is Testament, Sepultura and Prong in Richmond, VA in April.

I'm a metalhead , but I don't listen to any of those bands.

As far as groups from buffalo go, give me Cannibal Corpse over The Goo Goo Dolls any day.

As far as this thread goes, I may never go to another concert again, because there is no way I enjoy another concert as much as I did Rush last year.

+1 Cannibal Corpse is awesome. I'm in the video for "Staring through the eyes of the dead" when they filmed it at the Icon in 1994.

Got tickets for Opeth & Gojira.  Got tickets for Slayer.  Got tickets for Obituary.  A few others.  Just drove down to Birmingham to see PowerTrip and Iron Reagan. Was ridiculously awesome if you like thrash.

Going to see Hall & Oats with Tears for Fears too since I'm child of the 80's!

Got tickets for Tool at Blue Cross Arena this morning! Tuesday May 30. I saw them in Austin a few years ago, too.

My son just informed me that he got two tix for Tool at BCA as well, and told me I am going. Should be a good show. Floor tix too far back though.

Consider yourself lucky for getting floor tickets!  My buddy and I tried buying right at 10am today, and the best we could get was way up in 214

The boy said he had trouble buying online. Made many attempts before he was successful.

Finally committed to Cake at Ommegang Brewery (in Cooperstown)!  Friday May 26.

Does anyone have any suggestions for attending a show there?  It looks like General Admission.  Additionally, it looks like I was too late to purchase the additional camping tickets for $15 each.  I guess we will probably just drive to a nearby state park and camp there?

Oh, also might do Metallica in Denver, they're playing at the Broncos' stadium in June.  Also will probably take my gal to Avett Brothers at Red Rocks!  (Moving to Colorado next week, but coming back to Rochester for Cake and Tool over Memorial Day weekend.)

I MIGHT go to that  Ommegang show; my cousin and I have talked about it. Of course, he has, like, a child or something. I've never been to a show there, but we did a tour of the place a couple years ago and it was very cool. If you eat in the taproom get the chicken and waffles, they're amazing.

Go to see George Clinton and the Parliament Funkadelic on Friday at the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach, SC. Tickets were only $20 each with the groove promo code. I'm excited. This will be the first show I've ever seen that wasn't metal or punk rock.

I saw Testament, Sepultura and Prong in Richmond last week (awesome show!) Up next is Metallica in Philly next month, then Slayer in Baltimore in July.

I have always wanted to see Sepultura. \m/

We went to see Steve Winwood and his daughter Lilly in concert over the weekend.

Had A blast!

Forgot what a great musician/performer he is, and how upbeat and fun his shows are.

So wanted to go to his show this weekend, but thought my son's birthday party was more important.  Saw Winwood open for Tom Petty at Darien Lake a fews ago and was blown away. Couldn't imagine what a full set was like!

Looking forward to the summer concerts:

G'N'R at New Era

The Who (whats left) at CMAC

U2 in Cleveland and Boston

Sammy Hagar and The Circle at Casino

Hopefully catch some of the multiple outdoor shows as well

Your age is showing....

I have the perfect t-shirt for you

It's been since the 90's that we went to see a live *famous* artist/band. Life and responsibility happened. Now that we are a little less encumbered by it all we feel the need to replenish those joys from our past.

Not sure who else we want to see. It has to be the right mix of music and atmosphere. Want it to be upbeat, positive and fun. The audience for us is as important as the performer.

Also take it you live near Atlanta, that region has some nice venues and gets a lot  of great acts. Good for you to take advantage.

We would love to go to Darien Lake for a show. Steve and Tom would be a perfect combo for us!

Have you ever stayed at the campground and gone to a show?

We understand that to stay in the campground we have to buy all day park passes, which we don't want, plus concert tickets to see the show. It becomes very expensive fast with the park passes.
