Fire Lindy Ruff NOW Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 How about "word"? Or maybe the button could say "Can I get an amen?" hey that was my idea!
shrader Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 Is there any way you can set up some sort of filter that will block a post that says nothing more than +1?

LastPommerFan Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 I think the facebook thing is dumb. What if it was more like pinterest?
MattPie Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 Is there any way you can set up some sort of filter that will block a post that says nothing more than +1? Probably considering the whole Pominville/Pominstein thing. Something like /^+1$/ on the body of the message should match. Or even better: s/^+1$/I have absolutely not coherent thought to add to this./ Maybe we could just used a different phrase? F'N Right.

Or even better: s/^+1$/I have absolutely not coherent thought to add to this./ The problem there is that +1 could have meaning in an actual discussion. Hodgson is +1 on the night. I'd say just let the mods delete +1 posts, but they'd probably get sick of doing it.

(^ == beginning of line, $ == end of line). So the above "Hodgson is +1" wouldn't match.
Ross Rhea Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 I could care less if there is a post that only has a +1. I don't sweat the small stuff, I just look past that and read the next post. Kinda don't understand why a +1 post bothers people, but oh well, I don't care if it's there or not.
LTS Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 I don't see like, dislike, thumbs up, down sideways or otherwise. What am I missing? (besides everything).
spndnchz Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 I don't see like, dislike, thumbs up, down sideways or otherwise. What am I missing? (besides everything). It's all gone. The Mayans were right.
IKnowPhysics Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 "Name" wants to ###### the ###### out of this post.
darksabre Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 Aw man, I had the best rep on the forum. :(

K-9 Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 Well, I like myself an awful lot right now, but if you want to give others the chance to tell me, then who am I to object? Seriously, it sounds like a good idea. I would +1 it if I could. GO SABRES!!!
wjag Posted April 26, 2012 Report Posted April 26, 2012 yeah, but I should be able to make that opt-in. Should is the operative word. Also, I think the concept is fine, but maybe "Like" and the facebook association is a negative. I know vBulletin uses "thanks" instead. Maybe we could just used a different phrase? I'll go with a Seinfeld treasure.... "you're so good looking"
