darksabre Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 GREAT third period in DC. I'm not watching OT. Booooo! Most of them have been ending early anyway. You know you want to.
TrueBlueGED Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 I can't say enough about this Caps-Rags game. It has just been incredible in every way.

TrueBlueGED Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 McDonagh 42 minutes of ice time! Holy crap!
millbank Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 How exciting or deflating such a game would be. Imagine the amount of underwear changes if this a Sabre game. Nice to watch as observer, it would be to much otherwise.

I would, however, have had to go on a beer run after the 1st OT.

I love it as well. Mainly because I always liked our odds with Hasek in OT. That has just carried over.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 Ryan Callahan..... -27 Corsi# tonight
darksabre Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 Ryan Callahan..... -27 Corsi# tonight It's 11:30 man, stop doing math! :P
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 It's 11:30 man, stop doing math! :P If you want this to feel like a Sabres game.....plunk a few bucks on one of the teams. (NYR) I think Callahan is my favorite player. He's just like a loyal mutt from the dog pound. I can't question him. I have no idea what his Corsi number is.....just shake my head how blocking shots is looked down upon in statistical review. He probably saved the game 2 or 3 times.

TrueBlueGED Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 I love the way Callahan plays. I do worry about his longevity though. The guy is barely bigger than I am, and with the way he plays I don't know how long his body can hold up.

I think there's a lot to be said for genetics when it comes to how the body holds up.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 Good times.....I remember being a little kid and staying up to watch Fleury score against Edmonton in OT, and my dad brought home a loaded pizza from Mr Pizza at midnight because they'd always hook up the cops who kept an eye out for them. He was actually happy I was still up to help eat it.
millbank Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 it was a penalty , but hate to see it. hope game does not end on this.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 I hope Rupp or Knuble end it. Verry Hannan-like
TrueBlueGED Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 I hope Rupp or Knuble end it. Verry Hannan-like Anything that goes in at this point I think is going to be a garbage bounce or a fluky play. Which is a shame to see a game like this end that way...but these guys are dead. Even Kreider looks slow out there.
ubkev Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 Passed out on the couch at 10, what'd i miss? I vaguely remember dreaming something about King Henrik standing on his head....
TrueBlueGED Posted May 3, 2012 Report Posted May 3, 2012 Potentially humorous situation: the DC metro closes at 1. Just sayin. Passed out on the couch at 10, what'd i miss? I vaguely remember dreaming something about King Henrik standing on his head.... More of that. And Holtby too. Amazing game.
