These 2nd round match-ups could not be any worse in my book. I actually can't remember worse games in a loooong time.

The first couple of games in the second round have been some pretty good hockey to watch.

I agree. Parity seems to rule the day this playoff season. It seems an eight or seven seed in the playoffs isn't that far removed from a one or two seed. I'm kind of happy this second round isn't all about Crosby and we get exposed to other great young players.

I think it is fair to say that the Kings and Capitals don't have 8th seed and 7th seed talent respectively. Each team is loaded with stars.

I am really looking forward to Fylers/Devils today. The Devils survived their first round match-up against the Panthers. They'll need to step their game up against Philly. Kovalchuk and Parise will need to have a greater impact this round for the Devils to win.

I thought the Preds-Coyotes game was really entertaining, far more so than I would have predicted. However I found the Blues-Kings game to be pretty "meh" and the first two periods of Caps-Rags was some of the worst hockey I've watched all year (which really says something, seeing as I watched 82 Sabres games), although the 3rd was better.

Definitely looking forward to the Flyers-Devils today I flat-out don't think the Devils have the defensemen to contend with they Flyers' forwards, but I do think they have enough firepower to make for an interesting and entertaining series.

Flyers announcers are just horrible. I have no idea whatsoever as to what is going on in the game. Just switched to NJD announcers. (I'm listening on iPad while at work.) Poor audio quality, which is surprising coming from an official NHL app. NJ has a female color commenter--I didn't know that until now. Unusual.

I can't hear a female voice? The NJ feed just sounds like they are bored (i am on gamecentre)

A small part of me dies every time Briere scores a playoff goal.

Now that time has worn away the pain, I actually can enjoy one of my first favorite players succeeding again.

And regardless of who scored, that was a really fun game to watch.

Time still hasn't taken away that pain...in fact, my first thought had to do with July 1, 2007.

I was going to say a small part of me feels like I was kicked in the nuts everytime Briere scores but that would make my nuts small  .

As others have said watching him score clutch goals in important games is absolutely painful and a large reminder of the one Darcy let get away. Maybe thats why Darcy was fixated on drafting small speedy forwards for so long? He was trying to replace the one that got away.

You must be a cat then.

Even then, he'd still be dead about 5 times over ;)

Am I the only one over the fact that he could still be here? It bothers me when he scores because he's a Flyer, not because the Sabres botched his extension.

That said, a small part of me is hoping either Philly or Jersey makes it to the Cup because I find their brand of hockey much more entertaining than the alternative presented by the Caps and Rags. And yes, I feel obscenely dirty that part of me feels that way.

No.
