theodore and clemmensen played pretty good actually...

Yeah, they both had a pretty good season. Can't blame them for the first round loss. Only bad game either of them had they came back to win.

You mean "There's just no place on the Sabres for a 400 goal scorer."

Great game last night and great series. It will be interesting to see what Florida does this off-season.

Tallon put togther a pretty good group this year. Winning the division and going to game 7 when only five guys from last year were on this team. They need a lot of help in front of the net. They rarely dump pucks into the corner and fight for it. They have a really fast team and like to pass a lot, but they can't get into the corners and get somebody in front of the net. They have a ton of 1st and 2nd rounders ready to come up next year.

Flyers over Devils in 6

Blues over LA in 6

Nashville over Phoenix in 6

Wash over NYR in 7

I hate the Flyers but help us all if any other team wins it all. The Flyers try to play offensive and have proven they can play tough too.

If the others win it (maybe aside of Wash) then it just proves that boring, tight defensive hockey is how other teams will try to build their squads.

Nope, Hunter has them playing in a defensive shell just like almost every other remaining team. For example, they led all teams in the first round in blocked shots....which really isn't good, since it would indicate the majority of the play is in your own end. I hate the defensive trend and desperately hope things open up again after the new CBA.

Yeah they do, Tallon wanted to get through this season to find his strengths and weaknesses. I really believe that Dineen should get the Jack Adams this year.

How about Sutter..and Hitchcock?

How about Dineen and Martin and DeBoer?

Again....."Why would you fire Lindy Ruff when there is nobody to replace him?"

But...you don't get it. All these years with Lindy Ruff as head coach of the Sabres, the earth hasn't been hit by a SINGLE asteroid!!!

Wonderful defense by green...

And holtby has a nice beard going for a young player.

...and holtby falls apart.

Correct on all points.

Rangers with a 2 goal lead...time to line up 4 guys across their blue line and go into a complete shell.

Just think, if the CRAPitals face the Kings in the finals, we'll have a 7 seed as the home ice advantage. I would love to see that just for stupidity's sake.

LA was 29th in goals for, 2nd in goals against. St. Louis was 21st in goals for, 1st in goals against.

Right but that doesn't automatically equal low scoring. Put two teams like that together and crazy things can happen.

Agreed. But I think a low scoring series is a reasonable expectation. Hope it's not though, as at least game 1 of Nashville-Phoenix was a damn entertaining hockey game despite my low expectations.
