Awful defensive play by Gonchar, he just completely let the pass go across.

He wasn't any better on the 2nd goal either.

Strangers may have found their 1st or 2nd star if this score holds.

And Anderson pulls a Billy Smith and skates right off the ice at the end of the game.

You stay classy Otterland.

EDIT: I guess he did. He did come back out and went through the handshake line.

He came back out.

At least we're gauranteed at least another 2 weeks of having to listen to crying Rags fans. F###'em. Love their team, hate their fans.

I hate their team and their fans. Which series will be more dull: Blues v Kings or Rangers v Caps? Talk about trapping, boring, defensive hockey. My opinion, of course.

It's funny, that wasn't there when I was typing.

I dunno. That was a pretty good hockey game.

Just a random thought while watching the Devils and Panthers. If Brodeur retires after this season, he will be 40 years old and his contract is up, does New Jersey become a landing spot for Luongo?

That was the best game of the series. Also keep in mind Ottawa is a very offensive minded team, so at least 1 of the 2 wanted to push the pace. With the Caps, you'll have both teams playing in a defensive shell.

I think it would be a good fit. However with their financial situation, and Parise's impending free agency, I'd be surprised if he ended up there.

Interesting thought. But I don't think he retires.

I just wonder if Luongo wants back to Florida. It could be a Tallon-like move.

And scores 2-5 out west for the elite goaltenders.

2-5? Who lost? The Luongo/Schneider combo? Quick is elite, unless you're only looking at contract...but he's going to sign a whopper of an extension. Rinne is elite, and beat Howard. The only non-elite winner was Elliot/Halak, but they beat another non-elite in Niemi. I suppose you could say Smith has had an elite season, but I need to see more than 1 to proclaim him elite. Plus, he beat Crawford, who is bad.

I might be mistook, but I think he was counting Rinne as 2, Quick as 3, Smith as 4, and Elliak (Halliot ?) as 5.

That would make significantly more sense, since a 2-5 record is impossible in a conference. I'm smart :bag:

Edit: Anyway, here's how I score it. Elite goaltenders moving on: Lundqvist, Quick, Rinne. Elite goaltenders losing: Thomas. I'm sure some would also score Smith, Halliot, and Luongo/Schnedier elite. Even so, that's still 5 wins for elite goaltenders and 2 losses.

Cats just got jobbed. Matthias got pushed into Brodeur by Henrique waiving off a goal and sending Devils to the pp.

Was that GI call after the puck was in?

Sure did look that way.

All three game sevens great close games. Would like to see Florida tie game overtime win or go home tremendously exciting. See warmup pucks stacked to say win , i dotted with a rat... fun
